I would hope they keep the clever road design and manage to play with the fog and the LOD so that the illusion is still there.

Environmental upgrades. We know how much Rockstar Games care about their worlds. This Trilogy is going to include a beautiful world in all 3 games. High-resolution Textures. I feel like this could have many meanings. People would say using the current textures and they are upscaled with AI technology and some would say they are remade from scratch. I will personally go with the second. The amount of details and how much they had to withdraw themselves due to hardware limitations, is not comparable in today's world. They will make sure it looks good. Textures are definitely going to look different in some extend. Some might not even work well with how the game is going to end up looking. I'm pretty sure during development they had to rework quite a lot to make it work and feel right.

 

Increased draw distances. Not much to say about this because it's pretty much self explanatory.

 

Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting. I'll say it right here, use this to end the Remake/Remaster debate. This part of the gameplay has been reworked. HA! It's new. New content. Happy? Alright :)

and much more. We'll see once that trailer drops next week.

The illusion is so important.  A few months ago I played through GTA VC, SA, VCS, IV, EFLC, and V  again and despite knowing how small SA really is it still felt ginormous.  It easily felt way bigger than GTA 5 because every aspect of the map felt more detailed and interesting.  Thats what bugs me about GTA 5.  Rockstar essentially said the map was smaller than it could've been because they wanted each place to feel unique.  Well, they failed and that wore off pretty fast.  Sure, areas might feel unique, but they dont feel interesting and arent worth going to.

Yeah in 2012 I imagined how Los Santos will have fully functional shopping malls. Why not? Vice city has one too.

 

I imagined how I will be able to purchase mansions etc.

 

In reality we cannot even go to Burger Shot. But we have 30 minutes long crane mission...

Aye, I always said that if GTA San Andreas was designed today there would be a straight road from Madd Dogg's house to the highway between LS and LV in a beeline.

I totally forgot crane mission from SA. Why, because it was fun. You easily memorise something really bad than funny.

at this point im very hyped and im not very hypaed im looking very forward to seeing how they remade those games at the other point seeing how they enhanced gta v their most profitable game i lose faith wait and see i guess

I hope they improve the ambient noise in the cities. I was playing VC earlier. Love the game to death but the city is just too quiet. Especially when you go in an interior environment. The pure silence is deafening.

I hope when you die in Vice City it doesn't revert back to Tommy's default outfit. I mean obviously it's an iconic outfit but when I want to wear a suit I don't want to have to drive all the way back to Rafael's or Collar & Cuffs every time I get wasted or busted.

They should give us a wardrobe for Tommy. Also bring back custom skins for PC.
