Yeeeah... sure. The fact that they only had a year and a half to create almost 3A remake and then 2K didn't even let them release updates definitely doesn't change anything.

I don't deny that time constraints have affected the technical aspects of the games. Dumb design decisions however and dumb changes to the story indicate lack of talent, understanding and care for the product.

From what I played, every change in the story made sense, or at least didn't ruin the story in any way. But hey, that's a matter of opinion. Plus, this is a forum about GTA, not about Mafia, so let's talk about GTA.

Gta V map is total ass, how you can compare SA map masterpiece to that disaster.

 

For instance GTA V Take out these mountains without any purpose, take out alamo sea and you get nothing. Small city with fake layout, with highway loop across map.

 

I will totally vote for worst map that I ever used to play game.

I have played the original to hell and back. I simply love the original Mafia. The remake is a disgrace. I could go on and on and list all my gripes but this is hardly the topic for that so if you want to continue I will happily argue for my stance in the Mafia topic.

What are they on about? Character models will definitely be updated a bit. They will get rid of the mitten hands at the very least and give them slightly better faces. I really hope Catalina's model from SA will be updated because it looks very off compared to her model in III.

But, since we have pinned the specs for the game, that means that it will not be just a "mobile glossy version of the same 2000's graphics". We know that they will add new trophies, such as the big foot (probably it will be just a troll, the trophie name is called "81 years late", or something like that, where you will have to pass 24 hours in game (i guess by logic, lmao) in the forest to achieve the trophie, so probably you will not find any kind of bigfoot, maybe a footprint (my guess), we don't know. People are expecting in the wishlist, cut content like missions, weapons, vehicles, get to know some unclosed misteries that was left in the air, like what happened to donald love and what that gun shot was about in the beginning of the credits of gta 3.

Yeah totally impossible to sneak somewhere ragdoll and real time damage physics.

 

These game journalist are totally out of mind, I can easily throw ten games with ragdoll and lower specs. GTA IV is probably miracle by today standards.

exactly! The map is the reason I dont play that game anymore.Even if the game is a masterpiece(singleplayer).Somehow the map feels SMALLER than san andreas wtf

Of course, I've heard about layoffs. But a moment earlier they were connected with 2K Czech, and a second studio was opened shortly after. Apart from the Mafia, they also worked on their own ideas. GTA SA had that road trip feeling because it had 3 cities that all had their purpose.  Increasing the draw distance and seeing the cities from far away would completely ruin it imo.  However, having it in HD with the same fog might also make it feel quite strange.  I'm not too sure how to feel about that personally, but I feel as long as you avoid air travel it shouldnt be that bad with the exception of seeing Chiliad and going on top of Chiliad and seeing LV in the distance.

 

GTA 5 had way too many pointless mountains.  I always say this, but how often do you ever go to the east side of the map?  Never?  Yeah, same here.  Theres no point because if you roll down those mountains you'll go into the ocean and have to run all the way to the highway for a car.

Not to mention virtually no interiors. f*ckin San Andreas had more interiors and felt more alive than V's joke of a map. V couldn't even be bothered to include Las Venturas. Grand Theft Mountains more like.
