Various people with actual inside knowledge made posts in the past saying the trilogy is legit.People were skeptical..

Did they lie though? Nope Trilogy is legit 

Same people said that hese games will be using the uneal engine.

Were the correct? Yup 

Lastly same people said that they are remasters/remakes like Spyro, Tony hawk etc....

So why don't you have some faith? Why would they lie? They knew about the freaking trilogy from January. Hell even the Preacher topic from last year had some subtle hints to the trilogy..

 

I know it's hard to trust Rockstar nowadays but seriously... hAVE some faith!

 

They WANT you to get them, they KNOW you played them for years so they will DEFINITELY deliver.

 

One bird told me to expect the unexpected and i will personally do that this time around...

Well, even Rockstar spoke along the lines of "graphic enhancements". If the remasters looked like Mafia: DE then Rockstar wouldn't have phrased it that way. 

 

What was nice about Mafia DE was that 2K was more open about sharing what was being done with Mafia: Definitive Edition.

 

Even then, there was a fair amount of skepticism surrounding it.

I am not willing to believe stuff that has no actual evidence attached to it, and that is something that should be celebrated, not looked down upon. I took the trilogy with a grain of salt until it was officially announced, and for the record we still don't know for sure if it uses the unreal engine or not, just an article and some strings in the launcher, which is strong evidence, but by no means a confirmation. I will "have faith" when I see some damn screenshots.

 

Who is "they" anyways? Why should I care what "they" say unless if it's from Rockstar? Tell me that.

They are old summer posts so it's hard to find them right now.

Both mach1bud and Yan openly stated that they could be remasters like Spyro/Tony hawk. In multiple posts.

Piracy is a service problem, there's absolutely no justification for it with anything Rockstar have done with the trilogy remaster. Not everyone has the same access to video games like the average gamer in NAMER/EU/ANZAC. Hell, many of these people might not even have the option. 

 

anyway, I'll stop there. This thread is enough of a sh*tshow as it is, and I respect the fact that this forum isn't a Warez haven like some other gaming sites.

Also in the Rockstar launcher the games are called Vicecityunreal, sanandreasunreal etc.

If that's not evidence then what it is?

Your point is what I mean by a service problem. When gamers simply don't have a choice, or are priced out through poor price conversion etc then piracy becomes a different argument.

Yeah I was on the hard "it's just going to be a sh*tty online DLC" viewpoint. Proven wrong, but without a screenshot, we don't know what we are getting.

Fair enough. I'll admit I'm a cynic on copyright (I've been screwed over hard by questionable copyright claims but that's way in the past) - but ultimately that was for a much different reason (nothing to do with video games).

I didn't say it wasn't evidence, I specifically called it "strong evidence". But there is a difference between saying "Trilogy DE will be on the Unreal engine" and saying "It is very possible that Trilogy DE will be on the Unreal engine".

We have new archievements now with new descriptions to it. They all sound like the Rockstar Games we know from back in the day. Thats a another good sign for this game if you ask me. I think if we get atleast something that works great and is R* like, would make a good Remakster.
