I've seen references to movies, such as taxi driver and back to the isFuture. Also references to quotes from the games and other R* games

That's not gonna happen, I think even R* know how bad the outsourced port was. The thing is, these are probably gonna focus on visuals, gameplay and fixes and stuff rather than new or cut content. So... remasters.

Missable Achievements and Guide

This guide will mostly be irrelevant if the Trilogy DE allows you to replay any previously played missions like in GTAV and RDR2. However you should still look out for "Without a Scratch" in GTA 3 since it says to do it in the first attempt, and "Got this figured out" since you need to prepare a coach before the mission starts in order to do it in time. In GTA SA, the final achievement to watch the credits depends on whether the game shows you the credits after replaying the final mission.

2 - Without a Scratch - Deliver Mike Lips' car without a scratch on first attempt.

5 - Mob Boss - Keep the two mafia members alive during "Triads and Tribulations".

7 - Planned Ahead - Take out Chunky Lee Chong with a car rigged with a bomb.

8 - Got This Figured Out - Use a coach to pick up all 8 prostitutes in the mission "The Fuzz Ball".

43 - Fare Game - Pick up Curly Bob in a Taxi during "Cutting the Grass"

again, there's no such thing as a quick engine port, not with the GTA engine, which is pretty low level and can't be just ported on unreal. the game has been remade FROM SCRATCH.

I guess you can re-play the missions and get them? I think there was a menu for playing them again, or wasn't it?

Haven't played the games on console, but on PC you can't replay them without loading an older save

No, TBoGT was the first to introduce mission replays. So either they add this feature in, or make saves before the missions.

Rockstar added more Unreal Engine mentions again - this time involving a shortcut file path. It seems we'll able to launch the game in three different shortcuts (I assume the game won't direct to a menu and goes straight into Vice City).

today if you go outside the gps route in gta 5

thats probably because the map is not finished, only the stuff thats needed for the prolog mission and bury the hatchet and the surrounding a bit, they don't want you to wander out too far and fall out of the map or anything like that (or they don't even want you to see that the map is unfinished lol)
