To be honest Hot Pursuit is still looking good without the remaster. There wasn't need for changing anything significant while Trilogy are like 20 years ago that had hardware limitations for what was in their imaginary.

Well you're perfectly right, the Chameleon engine they used holds up just as well as it did 10 years ago. But let me clarify, I think people here have every right to have low expectations for the "graphical enhancements" these remasters claim to follow, just as much as those who have high expectations. However if R* had not dealt with the E&E backlash recently, the poorly outsourced San Andreas "remaster" and Take Two had not been taking down mods and fan projects recently, I think those in the "Low expectations" category would probably have somewhat higher expectations for this. Can you really blame those who are skeptical of this to feel the way they do? Until we see solid evidence such as screenshots and videos officially from R* themselves, I don't think there's anything anyone here or anywhere else can do to change their minds that yes, this is somehow going to be a remaster worth picking up for its graphical and gameplay improvements. That's just my two cents though.

Anyway, they said in the Unreal Engine community that there is no way to convert from a different engine to Unreal Engine.

It's even difficult convert from an old UE to a new UE (no way you can from UE3 to UE4, and you risk crashes and unfixable bugs from UE4 to UE5).

Like I said before, they don't need to make any conversions, they have the original assets and source files. Why convert stuff? They aren't modders lmao.

it's amazing how everyone including a massive game developer are still convinced the GTA Trilogy is happening, like hell where did Rockstar get their sources? i worked for them for so many minutes and they never had me test a branch of it

Graphical improvements - same look and feel. AKA better resolution same graphics same physics lol. The game is going to be all quality of life upgrades not an overhaul. Which I'm fine with, idk why the GTA community always seems to set their expectations at 11/10 only to disappoint themselves.

They gave a facelift to the announcement art so I assume it's gonna apply to the rest too.  We're probably yet to see more art and stuff like they did with the 10th anniversary tbh.

I think GRID AUTOSPORT is a great example for a mobile game that can look like a console game on phones given the right device. It can also look like a sh*tty mobile game depending on the device. It is very scalable in that regard. 

 

I'm thinking GTA TT TDE will follow suit, it will look great and console like on high end devices but rather sh*te on lower end ones.

THIS. Scalibility. I wrote a long ass post about that. All you need to make a game run on a variety of devices is the ability to scale things up and down within the game's engine.

Yeah I'm probably looking too much into it. I just feel the new artwork looks more 'wise' with the guns clearly visible (and most of all why removing Ryder's gun?). That's not just small fixes like the ones made on the Vice City girl.

i dont understand why everyone wants/would be content with these remasters if the visuals were slightly changed, i mean im not expecting red dead levels of graphics but how in the world would this be worth your money if the visuals are still basic and dated looking? Especially since a lot of the "gameplay flaws" can be fixed via a few mods like silent patch, framerate vigilante, classic axis etc. Meanwhile for vice city and III, graphically theres no mods that makes it look decent without being too basic/simple like skygfx or too obnoxious and art style destroying like some enb presets

 

Good graphics can still be added while maintaining the art style. If this costs 80-90 dollars CAD then I want bang for my buck not laziness

its unreal engine, very scalable. Look at fortnite for example, runs well on modern phones and is obviously scaled back graphically from the pc version. And on the PC version we have no compromises, if you max out fortnite its a really good looking game with a nice art style, although nobody will play it maxed out cause its an esport title, where frames win games.

 

Also people forget 1200 dollar phones are way more powerful then they were 10 years ago, i wouldnt be shocked if it was possible to port gta 4 or 5 on phones (with major compromises)
