Yea dissappointments in life is normal, but not really from R*. Thats unusual. So...

 

Turning back to the originals won't be my case. I made it the last few weeks and it actually doesn't feel the same as in the old days. As technology teached me now better and i todally miss many "revolutions" from this industry. Makeing a remakster is todally something needed to get this vibe back. I can't believe that i will play GTA SA again with new expectations like in 2005. Kinda weird.

While I do believe that this remaster will be done with love and care, I don't buy them investing too much into this. This reeks of a vanity project that took a lot of convincing to the higher ups. I know, I know - conjecture, and it is. It's just that I lost a lot of faith with R* after GTA:O success and the AWFUL San Andreas outsource job.

For real, the "heartfelt" thank you comes off as a bit patronising considering the massive amount of amazing mods and talent along with a literal decade of hardwork that got flushed down the toilet pan all so TakeTwo can make another quick buck and cash in on the nostalgia craze. Regardless if the DE is good or not, losing GTA Underground felt like a massive punch to the jaw to both the fans and the creators.

Why nobody talks about iOS and Android versions? It scares the sh*t out of me once I start to imagine how would the games look like on weak, portable devices. That's the only thing that makes me think it's not going to be as amazing as we expect it to be.
