Every one of those games should have a unique gameplay/feel!

Technically, they can maintain both. You can have the same driving controls and be able to move the camera in all of the games, but that doesn't stop Vice City from having its unique camera movement on sharp turns and drifts.

I am going to be honest now:

I never played GTA III

I only played GTA Vice City at my friends house

I didn't complete GTA San Andreas at 100%

Anyways I will be testing GTA V on my potato laptop on 5400 rpm HDD and Intel HD3000.

Will let you know the results in a day or two.

What are the other specs? GPU, CPU, etc.? GTA V runs fine on my laptop potato, with a lol 770m GPU and other components from lol 2012.

What are you guys looking mostly forward to?

I am looking forward to what they are going to do with GTA 3.

Right now? Gameplay. I want to see if it looks and feels cohesive. I'm talking about graphics, physics, AI and so on and on.

Indeed, the only GTA games that I beat are GTA IV and GTA V

Oh alright, yeah I seen this DEP thing around before, pretty cool stuff. I hope R* actually has the balls to top it for once though I'm tempering my hopes.

GTA III on Mobile tbh was Rockstar's best non GTA V GTA remaster, straight up smoked the original and other ports and GTA VC/SA "remasters"

I played GTA III but didn't finish. Some of the missions got me on my nerves and I lost motivation.
I played GTA VC but didn't finish. I found the story to be boring, but maybe it was something else?
I played GTA SA, finished it once or twice, it was a lot of fun.

Ignoring completion, I played all of the three games on both PS2 and PC. III and VC were mostly played on PC while I played a lot of SA on both PS2 and PC.
On PS2 I never finished it cause I didn't own a memory card, on PC I used to grab 100% saves so I could free-roam and so sh*t around. Same goes for III and VC.

Its a Dell Precision M6600 with 2nd gen Core I7, 4 GB Ram and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I ran it on Windows 8.1 in March 2020.

Don't remember much. GTA IV runs on 25 or 20 fps but drops to 9 fps in dense areas like Alqonquin.

Somebody said on Discord that GTA V runs better on Intel HD3000 than GTA IV so I will try again

along with MSI Afterburner this time.

Also I only completed the story in GTA San Andreas once, and it was like in 2018. So this will be a good opportunity to play it again

Since we're sharing our experiences with the trilogy here's mine:

2006/2007 played GTA SA for the first time, haven't actually finished the story until a lot of years after due to SAMP just being way too fun.

Since then, finished GTA3, GTA VC; SA multiple times, 100% twice.

Also, GTA Snow Andreas, the first ever mod-pack I've played..

I liked Vice City Stories better than Vice City. lance-vance-dance.gif

Say it loud and clear, GTAVCS is a whole lot more fun than GTAVC.

My favorite GTA for sure.

Similar boat.

Never actually played GTA3, only Liberty City Stories. Whether that actually counts or not, idk. ClaudeGTA3

Have absolutely no exposure to Vice City but was curious about Vice City Stories back when I was still into my PSP. TOMMYKEKW

Mostly grew up watching my sibling play San Andreas on our PS2 and only played it in small doses myself. CjSmile

I remembered you could snap necks in VCS lol

Let me get back on topic here though. 😅

I also have a really necessary confession I need to produce...

Spoiler

Vice City's story is actually of Rockstar's worse work of the main Rockstar games (not including advance or spinoffs) from VC onwards. RDRevolver-RDR 2, Bully, Max Payne 1-3, Manhunt 1/2, Warriors, GTA SA/IV/EFLC/GTA CTW/V, etc were all better.

I don't know if I like it better, but VCS was a phenomenal game. That one is a title I REALLY want to see given a Definitive Edition like The Trilogy is getting. To this day, I think that Empire Building, while very limited by the PSP, was something that may have been one of the best additions to GTA gameplay motifs in the history of the 3D Era franchise games. It's a very well done PSP/PS2 title, and a worthy addition to GTA history. Yeah, I really want to see that game given a serious remaster. I tried playing it on my PS3 a while back and I was able to get through it, but it really looked awful. Not sure if I could even get through the PS2 graphics of that game now, a few years later, being even more spoiled by current games.

The  Empire Building was one of the best things about that game, it looked like you owned the whole city at the end.
