i really dont like the idea of hardcore missions. im sure plenty of people like it. but for me i play games to have fun. not be challenged. i get challenged enough in the real world. they should have just had a regular version for these missions. and a hardcore version. for now these missions are not interesting to me. its sad because i really want new content. but i dont care for the idea of hardcore stuff. what they really need to do is release a real dlc.

greedstar promoting their broken version of stealth...challenging, yes.

We'll see if they're fun...

I may have slightly misjudged what these missions exactly are, but still feel with so little being added, the game would greatly benefit from some freedom and those choices R* talk of.

But alas, no such luck. Shame.

Meh I figured because it was default hardcore I'd take it up a notch and go first person and yeah, felt like a brand new game. It's not great content but I approve the direction

Did the good and dead mission, well the never ending spawning of npc are boring! They are just there to make you finish the mission faster! And you can´t change the difficulty!

Hardcore only modes 'eh?

I dunno how I feel about that, but I'll be giving them a try either way. I mean what else have I got going for me in this game right now?

Although to be fair, it seems like these missions would be simple to complete if they were in any normal RDO setting so maybe it is best that they have an extra challenge or two built in.

"Hardcore" Yeah you can shove that up your ass, C*.  Taking away aim assist on a ONLINE mode where time does NOT slow on Deadeye is f*cking cheating! Not to mention the enemies not showing up on radar, ugh.

I just logged on to snag the free XP and trader goods for next week, 'saved' by taking something out of the mail and promptly quit. See ya next week when the new Pass starts!

They aren't never ending, at least during the main objective.  Not sure if they are never ending once you are riding away and they are chasing you.  I didn't stop to find out.

I thought the new mission were aiight.  Honestly I never played w/o aim assist and it was actually kinda fun change of pace.  Sniped them form a distance and a shotgun for up close.  I tried to stealth them and I did the first one in Saint Denis pretty easily.  No idea how you could stealth the other ones, one slip up and it's shootout time.

Are they like the other stupid telegram missions, where after the 3rd one they are ALWAYS only free aim?

WAIT, are they free aim to begin with? That would be dumb...

Ah, yep just read no "aim assist." Won't be doing them then, lame.

Are you serious? I am dead chuckling to myself right now. How can you accuse R* of cheating when stuff like auto-aim, a magical radar, regenerating health and magic tonics are literal cheats.

I don't have issue with your comment, I am laughing at the fact you called them cheaters when they take away your literal cheats in a Single Player mission. No offence but it just sounds like you are salty R* took away your crutches.

Yeah, calling them cheats is probably the wrong word. Deliberately limiting their content and appeal is much more like it.

Not everyone is looking for the challenge freeaim offers others and had these new missions arrived with other content for other playstyles, or been set to be played how we choose, I'd have no issues of R* taking away aspects that are featured in their games regularly and giving more playstyles things each. It does feel like they're taking things away.

But alas, to expect the freeaim crowd to understand that is a fools errand, lol. And just like GTA, the audience here is split, with one side so keen to mock and put down the other, and that's why we'll never be able to push R* into doing better, ever.

It amazes me how other franchises bring their playerbase together and things only grow while here with R*, we're just all too keen to stay so divided. Lame!

Don't get me wrong, I agree in principle, but the game is naturally on super ultra easy mode to the point it's a point and click adventure.

R8 does not give a sh*t what the player base wants.

Maybe so for some, but not me. I'm sh*t at aim and my eyesight let's me down so I still have struggles. Though admittedly that's just me and I wouldn't expect a game to cater exclusively to me of course. But equally, as a role player, I'm just fine with the game being easier/comfortable. I'm looking to create a story out of my adventures, not be forced out of my comfort zone.

I want to play my way, like R* says I can. But they lying gits are too keen to control how we play. Odd for an open world game, and feels like a huge backward step for R* really.

Don't get me wrong, there's room for those challenges and more to bring others in for the gameplay they want, just so easy to do too. But with them adding 3 missions here and there that can only serve certain players at a time instead of offering more flexibility to allow more to thrive, and those not keen get no new stuff and the wait becomes longer and the game already is creeping along at a snail's pace.

Honestly, considering how GTA does it, how this game is so restrictive and limited is amazing to witness. Talk about played! 🤣🤣

Again, so true. But we have no way to put pressure on them when anything they do gets half the playerbase pissing on the other half. They thrive on profiting off that.

But as you pointed out, they don't care and it's far too late to unring that bell. Hence, no faith in this game at all.

GTA just keeps chugging along and the vast majority of its updates have been excellent, but whoever is in charge of RDO seems to have a mobile game fetish. I would really to see someone, Mods included, explain to us how any sane person can step back, look at all the timers and paywalls in this game and go "Yes, that's exactly what the players want".

Its f*cking astounding, the level of arrogance it takes to completely ignore eighty percent of your player base.

It's weird because GTA:O had lengthy timers/cooldowns for hosting the same of the original heists, and with each act of DDH too, but with time that changed and now we get a nominal 10 minutes between each casino or cay run. Certainly was for the better but they stated getting worse again here.

I can see things like these shorter cooldowns, and lobby choices of course, change with E&E TBH. Feels like R* are doing things in GTA:O to get people to say 'hey, things are improving' just to get us onside for the re-release and then swiftly kick us in the nuts.

Pure speculation of course, but RDRO does show they still have a hard on for all that. Can't tell you how much I want to be wrong but, well, look where we are with this. 🤔

It is cheating.

You can literally get one shot and it's annoying as hell not knowing where the enemy is. Having a posse would probably make things better but where's the appeal to the solo players, the ones who don't have friends cause everyone that DID play abandoned this turkey of a Online mode and I don't blame them!

Free Aim is perfectly f*cking fine when doing PvP but I don't want PvE against AI unless it's a SP experience

Oh dear, so all the cheats that you get the AI gets?

What? It is a Single Player experience. The game is no different apart from you cannot use Slow Time Dea....Ah, I see, another cheat.

I'm not a free aim player and at rank 400+ the Colter mission was not incredibly difficult.  Took some getting used to, especially with the enemies not being displayed on the mini map, but I enjoyed it.

I could see the free aim aspect being an issue if we didn't have easy access to a boat load of instant health/dead eye tonics.

So I sneaked around Colter, killed all the guys in my way with arrows, and when I was hiding the bodies outside the house the guys inside the houses heard my footsteps and instantly alerted without even seeing me.

Stealth is broken in this game, how can they hear me walking outside? It's freaking blizzard!

Yep, another instance of the cheating AI!

I swear it's f*cking rigged Online, I can ace the SP sh*t no f*cking problem on stealth but you can arrow somebody dead(without them seeing you) and the entire compound knows exactly where you are despite the body being miles away from them and you using a f*cking bow and arrow!

I swear even GTA Online's stealth is better, you play the stuff enough you know the right tactics(Only issue is when the game repeatedly blames YOU for somebody else ruining it as you either had the last shot or were closest to an enemy when they went on alert. Real freaking headache explaining to the host that it isn't you, always have to sit back and figure out which dingus ruined it to go "Hey, sit back for a minute. I got this".)

My sentiments exactly. It’s one of the reasons I quit bootlegger missions entirely. Unless I happen to run into a roadblock or burn crops event, I’m running right on through. ‘Poison the shine’ can GTFO with its rigged stealth.

At least in GTAO you get a little breathing room if a guy sees you while in a stealth scenario. There’s room to fix your error if they run away as not everyone in the area hones in on your position like the f*cking Borg!

Kinda been putting off playing these due to the restricted playstyle. New content should be open to all players, even noob scrubs or “bad eyesight” players like me, though in my defense I ain’t died in Call To Arms yet so I must be doing something right.

My biggest question would be, “Will I have enough ammo for all these bandits?”

Stealth is broken in this game, how can they hear me walking outside? It's freaking blizzard!

That coupled with how the "stealth kill" script can be broken as well. At first there were times when I tried to do a stealth kill with my knife my character would literally not target them and instead of getting the kill they would notify the rest of the enemies of my presence. So I tried to do it without any weapons, which seemed to work for a bit but now if they are even remotely leaning against a wall or near a darn barrel my character moves around them and I cannot activate the kill.

Had to resort to arrows, even though I prefer close combat over long distance kills.

Although, like @Shadowfennekin said above, even the arrows don't mean a stealthy finish.

Lol, I chug those tonics enough my poor character should be drunk over them. Always top off my supply, it kind of makes me feel like I'm cheating, but I never claimed to be a straight shooter. 😁
