Wondering about this

OK, I have noticed something. Right now, my friendship and respect level with Roman, Brucie and Jacob is 100%. But when I hijack a car from a random pedestrian or kill someone randomly, sometimes (not always) the respect and friendship level of Roman, Jacob or Brucie will drop to 95%. Why is this so? Could it be that the person I killed randomly on the streets have a friendly connection with my friends?

I've never heard of hijacking cars or killing pedestrians affecting it, only turning hang outs down/having a bad hangout/not hanging out often enough.

 

Are you sure it's happening as a reaction to your actions and not just a coincidence that it went down at the same time you happened to be doing that? Maybe you just do it a lot? IIRC friendship levels will drop if you don't hang out for a while, usually accompanied by a text message from them suggesting hanging out more. Also do you ever have Niko's phone on sleep mode (I don't know if it's possible but perhaps the percentage can still go down without getting messages that way)?

It happened fairly frequently for it to be a coincidence. Moreover, I never set my phone to sleep mode at all.

 

But I think the reason could be that I never hang out with them for awhile.  After reaching 100% I tend to focus on other aspects of the game play.

I've never seen it go down due to that in hundreds of hours of gameplay or heard anyone report it happening so I think it is probably coincidence. There's a lot of friends and you likely do highjack cars/kill people quite a lot during gameplay (especially if you've already completed the game 100%) so there's lots of chances for it to happen at the same time.
