What if the game gave you the choices to spare Smoke and or Ryder?

How would that impact the rest of the storyline and what would the 3 other endings be?

I would spare Ryder, I don't think that would have really impacted the story too much besides making Ryder tag along and come with us in the End Of The Line, probably stay in the vehicle with Sweet and do the driving instead of him once Sweet jumps into the vehicle.

Ryder was cool and real at first. However with Big Smoke you could tell he was up to something when C.R.A.S.H came out of his house in all the missions, when he chose to eat chicken instead of shooting Ballas, Whenever CJ asked him about C.R.A.S.H or about his moms, he would always just say random things that don't make sense. I think Ryder was just brainwashed into all of this.

Oh I would absolutely not spare Big Smoke, Ryder complained about Big Smoke not shooting the Ballas during that mission, he was good, he always seemed loyal to me, I think he was just actively being corrupted by Big Smoke, which makes the latter even worse of a traitor.

His death was also strange and out of place, his appearance in the Green Saber also looked weird, as if he wasn't supposed to be there but he was added in to justify his death at the end of the game, with Big Smoke you could tell something was fishy about him with how shady he was and how C.R.A.S.H seem to be regulars at his place as well as him avoiding direct answers.

 

Coming to think about it, if I was CJ, who was treated poorly in that first mission by C.R.A.S.H, I would demand clear answers from Big Smoke after seeing them at his place multiple times.

And when CJ asks him why he moved out of the Grove, the excuse is so bad. I don't know how they didn't at least suspect what Big Smoke was doing, because when I first played the game I was already very suspicious of Smoke. But yeah, Ryder was a real one, he was defo just brainwashed which is real sad because I found him really funny and cool. After the Pier 69 mission, CJ even talks to Cesar about how he feels bad about killing Ryder.

Big Smoke will definitely get spared because he actually cares about CJ and Sweet deep down and was only forced by Tenpenny. He would never betray CJ because he was actually kind to him and loved his gang. Ryder would betray CJ on his own because he always hated CJ and never cared about Grove at all. That's why it would be much better had Smoke actually stayed loyal and Ryder was the only traitor whose death in Pier 69 should be the same way. He deserves to be forgotten because no one gives a sh*t about him. Not to mention he was always a c*nt even before the storyline of this game since Cesar said he tried to rape Kendl. That shows how bad Ryder really is, and you people are retarded if you even deny it.

If San Andreas was a bit more advanced, I could imagine Ryder coming back as a Strangers/Freaks mission. I imagine it like Ivan from IV, he's told to make himself disappear and you'd find him later on, doing some kind of low level robbery. Maybe you'd get the chance to kill him again.

 

With Smoke I can only see him disappearing from the game anyways. Instead of saying he's dead on the radio, they'll probably say he was apprehended and arrested. Assuming Tenpenny doesn't blow up the building still.

I'd spare both of them and kill Sweet instead. He's the reason Tenpenny could turn Smoke and Ryder anyway, because he let the gang and the hood go to sh*t. Those Sevilles should've capped him in Sweet's Girl
