hoodedshiba
Hi, I use Widescreen FIX mod. By default the mod comes with the option ReplaceTextShadowWithOutline = 1. This option leaves a white outline on the wanted stars. Setting the option to 2 I didn't feel any difference but setting the option to 0 the white outline in the wanted stars is removed. I wanted to keep this option but the weapons icon ends up getting buggy. Here is a comparison: ReplaceTextShadowWithOutline = 1 / 2 ReplaceTextShadowWithOutline = 0 Is there any way to disable the white outline on wanted stars without bugging the weapons icon? TempUser_
Hello, I can bump this topic. Same issue appeared on my recent playthrough [Updated Classic build27]. To me its very complicated to determine why it does happen, sometimes it's fine, sometimes icon gets messed up. For example I did played game with iii_classic_axis.asi mod which tweaks control inputs for gamepad. At some point I noticed that if I run by pressing keyboard keys icon is correct, and if I try to use gamepad for controls icons gets "corrupted". press W - icon is normal, move gamepad stick forward - icon messes up, press W - icon again if fine Spoiler Though maybe there is problem with icons, and it's not. TXD are super crisp. Here is another sample. Found also that LEFT, TOP, RIGHT borders in TXD are same in thickness, while in HUD left side is "cropped". (Which often can lead that cropped part is being shown in opposite side, like in first spoiler image, top image line which is hidden being shown in bottom) Spoiler In my case even swapping radio stations affected weapon icon (when radio text title being shown, icons gets affected. Spoiler Additionally when I installed GPS ASI mod which is quite old, such issue went away, but shadow text got inconsistent in HUD text, so I removed it. Overall I would call this very confusing stuff, why icon being shown in such way. At the moment I have such result. Spoiler Spoiler ResX = 0 // This setting can override game's horizontal resolution (-1|0|*). ResY = 0 // This setting can override game's vertical resolution (-1|0|*). ForceAspectRatio = auto // This setting can override game's aspect ratio(auto|4:3|5:4|16:9|*:*). FrontendAspectRatio = auto // This setting is used to properly scale frontend textures, such as menu background or loading screens(auto|16:9|1:1|*:*). HudWidthScale = 0.8 // 0.8 by default. HudHeightScale = 0.8 // 0.8 by default. RadarWidthScale = 0.9 // 0.9 by default. SubtitlesScale = 0.8 // 0.8 by default. This can increase or decrease subtitle's size. FixVehicleLights = 1 // Vehicle lights is too big and you might wanna fix that(1|0). RestoreCutsceneFOV = 1 // Original FOV value will be used in cutscenes(1|0). CarSpeedDependantFOV = 10.0 // FOV will be increased at high speeds. The lower the value, the higher FOV will be. Set to 0.0 to disable. DontTouchFOV = 0 // This setting can disable any FOV related fixes, but it's not recommended(1|0). FOVControl = 1 // By writing float to 0x513547 FOV value can be increased or decreased. Adjust the address for non 1.0 exes. HideAABug = 2 // Drawing 1px line at top and left sides of the screen to hide antialiasing bug(1|0|2). (2) creates 4 lines to make picture symmetrical. SmartCutsceneBorders = 0 // Same as in VCS PCE, cutscene borders' size will be adjusted to fit your resolution. On resolutions bigger than 16:9 vertical borders will be used. Note that you can enable or disable cutscene borders via 'WIDESCREEN'/'BORDERS' option in game menu(1|0). IVRadarScaling = 1 // Makes radar size the same as in GTA IV(1|0). ReplaceTextShadowWithOutline = 0 // Replaces text shadow with outline(0|1|2). ForceMultisamplingLevel = max // Enables antialiasing. Requires asi loader(max|0|*). Not available for steam version. But still there is strange while pixels line on top of the all icons. At the end, I just gave up trying multiple options. Seems like only programmers/mod creators can give explanation why this is happening. Edited October 17, 2021 by TempUser_
