The blue glow like that is done during the modelling process whereby the modeller assigns a night glow colour to specific areas of a model. SA's glow is very nicely done. It's cartoonish, but add so much to the atmosphere of the game, making it eerie and desolated or lively and bright, I love it. There's even demonic figures on the glass textures of the church. R* were pretty woke back in 2004 sliding this in. It's basically called "Church of Satan". Crazy stuff man, lol. This church is in the BaySide area of the map. You won't miss it because its almost as if the chruch is calling you for an invite as it its lit the f*ck over a lighting glitch. All of this stuff was found years ago but it proves the many mysteries of SA that yet many others don't know of. Old school YouTube myths videos covered every strange sightings possible in SA but there's still some plenty of strange stuff out there in the game world of SA thats still is left hidden yet to be found.....It's all there in the shadows ready to be found by the player. @Elmascapo777 OP the satanic chruch has a light texture bug on other versions of SA which explains why its so lit up. The PS2 version is the only version that has the correct lighthing. KGBeast Posted September 21, 2021 Share Posted September 21, 2021 San Andreas leaned very heavily on self lit models, thus the eerie blue-green glow so much of the map has at night. It looks kind of creepy and surreal because they weren't capable of dynamic shadows at the time, so everything is awash in this glow but there are no corresponding shadows. Our brains use shadows and highlights to figure out shape and depth, without that contrast things just look unnatural.
