If I was going to do a remake of GTA IV and EFLC, I'd keep the IV version of Vladivostok and make the EFLC version it's own station and keep JNR and Fusion FM, but merge The Journey and Self-Actualization into a single station.

 

That's why I say, the original versions of TLAD and TBoGT are the real deal, EFLC sucks IMO.

The whole radio los santos from gta 5. Those are the most clean pop mainstream rap songs ever. Gta iv had good rap. 
 

also, san andreas has the best stations in a gta game. I was replaying it recently and i can listen to literally every station through.

As great as Radio X was, the lack of Nirvana and Pearl Jam kills me.

This. As a fan of the early 90's Grunge scene, the fact that they didn't include those two is just unforgivable, 1992 was the year Alternative Rock completely exploded in the charts thanks to the albums of Ten (Pearl Jam) and Nevermind (Nirvana), so San Andreas's setting was just perfect for them to appear, yet for some reason they just didn't.

IDK jack about music licensing but I heard the rights to  Nirvana songs in general would burn a hole in any dev's pocket

 

Then again Hangar 13 managed to license like 5 Rolling Stones songs so yeah

 

I think Breed would work really well in a GTA game tbh. It's one of their less popular songs but it fits the chaotic nature of GTA in general. I'm actually including this song on a concept I'm working on rn

The dance songs on Non-Stop Pop. As a fan of 90s dance music, especially early-mid 90s Eurodance, it's a shame that those songs ended up being relegated to a station that had little to no focus in terms of time period/subgenre/etc.. From what I understand, a lot of this is due to the changes the station went through during V's development.

Yeah I alluded to this in a previous post. I feel a house music station of hits from 1998-2002 really would have suited the game's vibe so well.

The current playlist is nice, but the deleted soundtrack was full of protopunk and heavy metal gems. It's weird that a lot of iconic tracks by New York Dolls, Motorhead, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden were cut, not to mention alternative legends like Lou Reed and Love & Rockets being among those removed from the station.

I'm kinda glad Motorhead (Ace Of Spades) didn't make the cut because there's more to Motorhead than just Ace Of Spades (I would have gone for On Parole, Talking Head or Built For Speed instead as they'd fit better with the game). Also prefer that Run To The Hills made it in instead.

It's a good excuse anyway, why would a bunch of patriotic russians relate their station with one of the scummiest places in all of LC (Bahama Mamas), sounds like money to me.

From what I recall, the real reason was because the real station it was based on had a weird mix of traditional Russian music and would then play night club music.

I guess Vladivostok may be based on New York station called WNYZ-LP, which changed its content from Russian Top 40 to dance Rhytmic Top 40 in 2008.

Still, it'd make more sense if it was like, after Three Leaf Clover it would become the Eurodance playlist, instead of the main game being Russian music and the DLCs being Eurodance outta the blue... Saints Row 2 did that and it was okay.
