Shame it's been delayed, seems that rumour was true after all @Big Molio, lol.

 

But at least those on PS4's generation have time to get a PS5/Xbox equivalent this Christmas, and that they'll get the same Xmas DLC as anyone else this year. IMHO, those are key factors on the delay. Could be wrong, but whatever. Pandemic? Maybe, couldn't rule that out either. Too many working on RDRO though? Well, that ain't the case! This isn't being delayed because a couple of interns need to whip up an RDRO DLC in a week quick that's for sure.

 

I'm still looking forward to see what comes, plus I'll buy the story mode too anyway as I actually still quite enjoy it. Would gladly rebuy all the GTA's on PS5 and both RDR's, Bully, and Midnight Club's if they got remastered/re-released too. I like their stories and always will, to have them on my latest console is all good here.

 

Would have been good to learn more or see new things in that video naturally, but I wasn't expecting anything. That's where I'm at with GTA:O (and RDRO), hard to disappoint someone that expects nothing, or nothing but the worst after the way 'public only' became such a deal breaker and almost killed the game, or bullsh*t like the arena/car meet ranking up systems etc. Or RDRO as a whole really, lol. It is what it is. The only thing that'll truly kill GTA:O for me is removing invite only and other freedoms like RDRO excluded, otherwise, I'll find ways to enjoy my game. I can't help but praise how the more recent stuff has been very lobby type friendly TBH.

 

Don't get me wrong, I understand the disappointment and desire to see R* either move forward with something new or blow some minds in positive creative ways like we know they can, just I refuse to get disappointed by it. Life's too short. I've said numerous times that it feels like R* and their online gaming dies with GTA:O for me. So I'm just gonna enjoy what I can and move on once it becomes either too limited or the next one comes and becomes as f*cked/restrictive as RDRO has from launch. I'm just comfy here, so it's a 'better the devil you know' thing for me is all.

 

So the idea of more of the same isn't as off-putting to me as it is for others. Sorry.

There's a part of me, maybe overly sentimental, which believes that Rockstar are a significant notch above other developers, but another part of me that knows that Rockstar are just another gaming company and GTA is nothing special any more.

 

Releasing a teaser video showcasing single-player GTA is mind blowing. What are they thinking at this stage? Where is their humility and respect for long-term fans?

 

My only hope is that they're feverishly working on GTA 6 and this is all a ruse to lower our expectations for the marketing push later on, but I just don't know anymore because of how slowly Rockstar work in comparison to other developers. Maybe they are genuinely having problems due to this ridiculous pandemic and the update will be great after all, but after purchasing new hardware and software and driving into the city center only to see that same tower block STILL under construction, I will seriously flip (in a lighthearted way).

Oh man this is just ridiculous, im so dissapointed, i wanted to play that pseudo enhanced version at least this year, not in march.

 

I already play the game in 2160p @ 120 FPS, almost all maxed out except grass and without AA, and i barely saw a difference to how i play it.

 

I really hope they don't want any money for the PC version of this, if yes then it's really ridiculous, there would be a massive outrage in the internet, they can't charge money for something that doesn't change a god damn thing. 

 

Hmm maybe they increase the player number in freeroam lobbies, from 30 to 60, to further enhance the "fun", so there are even more flying MK2 assholes in a session. And ppl get griefed even more, yeah i could imagine they pull off something like that lol. Just to piss all over us.

Those yellow plates are most likely to be a bug, a shot here shows them with their normal colors, I am assuming their light tweeks have caused this to happen, why did it make it to multiple and obvious scenes within the trailer is a mystery, however.

It better be free, not a damn thing changed or is new!

 

Where are the 'exclusive goodies' we're supposed to have at launch? Weapons, vehicles...? Nah let's just show them game clips that show NO improvements and no NEW content whatsoever!

Because Rockstar don't communicate like normal game developers do with their player base but instead over-market the living hell out of their base game every single week.

 

It's one thing writing a genius video game in the first place, but another thing drawing it out for a decade without many discernable physical changes (although Cayo Perico as a load up addition is really cool). I'm already thinking that when GTA 6 finally comes out in 2050, it better be absolutely draw dropping because we know it's going to be milked for decades and anything that's visually unfinished or geographically inaccessible will remain that way forever.

 

I never expect wholesale map changes like they do in many battle royale games these days, where landscapes suddenly appear or disappear every six months, but I do expect Los Santos to be more organic and for buildings to get completed or become dilapidated over time. The casino was a nice implementation, so there's always hope, but the rest of the map has remained unchanged since 2013, which isn't good enough any more.

 

If the game has become so unwieldy and bug ridden that Rockstar no longer feel comfortable making regular visual and surprising changes, then maybe it's time to dump GTA 5 for good and finally move on to version 6 instead of milking what we have so mercilessly.

It is hard to look for positives from what we were given trailer-wise  as there was nothing exciting to see. The trailer itself was quite bland when compared to other legendary trailers.. Not even some new music? Instead there was a radom ost sound piece that most players wish to turn off during gameplay.

 

There's a lot to be disappointed but.. just maybe.. the trailer isn't the full picutre. 

 

Then again, it does feel like that is pretty much it. This is the second time we got a trailer for E&E without anything new to see (excluding the graphics that I really do not care at this point) 

 

Why wasn't there a preview of this new vehicle feature that they kept on mentioning?! 

 

Will that be the "and much more" alongside a couple of new time trials?

 

Many questions simply out of desperation I guess 

 

Anyway, the only reedemable thing at very least would be improving the car experience i.e adding new colours for vehicles, liveries for all cars that don't have any and improved/new interiors alongside engine sounds.

Even though the bar is incredibly low at this point, Rockstar still manages to disappoint. 

Conversely, Insomniac games delivers a thoroughly exhilarating teaser trailer for Spider-Man 2 complete with tangible and mouth watering new footage...for a game two years away.

The end of the trailer with the online stuff is what really disappointed me. Online has had some really good updates with the casino, Cayo Perico, contracts and some really good cars but the show off griefing with the jet being blown up and futuristic crap like the Deluxo. Is that what we have to expect in coming updates more flying cars and griefing? what they should be showing off is the street and pursuit races, contracts or even the Cayo Perico heist. To me it looks like they want to go back to the flying cars and bikes and everything that destroyed online. If that is the future of online and not what we have been getting recently I may stick to Xbox One. I finished San Andreas a couple of days ago and the past week playing that was far more enjoyable than all the crap in online. Online would be so much better if it was more like SA and not having 90% of the lobby flying around on Oppressors or Deluxo killing everyone for no reason.
