The stock prices have mostly recovered. The fall when GTA V was delayed (and subsequent delays with PC and such) was much bigger and they were worth much less at the time so it was even worse. The problem at large here is the community backlash, and the dire necessity for R* PR to communicate a bit more clearly about what's actually happening with E&E and what it really is, so people can manage expectations and they can actually at least try and extinguish some fires after yesterday.

Spider you know how r* is thinking its 2001 where silent is the best options. Who knows whats going on in r* rn im sure there are some devs who are on here but cant speak because of nda.

They removed the antenna in the deer scene or that is "next gen rendering" 

 

It looks like bloom been added in and the sun changed.

 

Skyscraper has lights on roof now in e&e

 

PC version is still king. 

 

Some texures looks worst as it is 

 

And they want to charge ppl for this..

 

oh and the building is still not finshed after 8 years......

Who is handling this port? This is downgraded quite fairly compared to the PC version. PS5 is more capable of having this game running at ultra settings. I'm on a 2016 GPU, yet can still run the game fine at ultra settings, so... Not good at all.

I have a 2080 ti and from what i seen it looks like its on high settings with lenses flare and running on 4k 30 fps 

 

colors look different and the lighting is positioned at a different angle .

I feel like a complete baka for thinking they would actually make an effort to convert this game over to the RDR2 engine considering the amount of time they've worked on this glorified port. I even tried to get my friends hyped on it, what a disappointment. That trailer told us nothing and was completely pointless. I don't know who the **** in their PR thought it'd be a good idea to put out a teaser for a game we've been playing for 8 years instead of listing out the improvements or lack thereof.

A lot of companies these days seem to love to cause grief to their fans. Whether it's Netflix with the butchering of He-Man(twice!), Cowboy Bebop and Death Note(and soon to be One Piece and Gundam), Volition with treating their fans like sh*t after them not liking the new direction of Saints Row, Aspyr hiring someone who hates KOTOR and Star Wars fans as a writer for the KOTOR remake and many more examples. With Rockstar being the newest example of this with this port of V.

 

Marketing in these companies seems to be full of f*cking idiots. You don't announce a simple port of an 8 year old, continuing updated game, 2 years before the release of said game.(I'm including the delay) You are going to f*ck with people expectations too much, especially with the younger ones who haven't grown to not expect much from these f*cking companies. And don't f*cking make a trailer that has nothing new in it and say there is new sh*t in the game. f*cking show it to us instead of repeating the same sh*t we've already seen with slightly better lighting and buggy license plates and chairs. 

 

I wasn't expecting much, and actually laugh out loud when I saw the trailer and the delay in said trailer. But I still feel bad for the people who were expecting something from that f*cking trailer, instead of just another rehash. 

 

At this point, I feel we need another video game crash to clear the slate. Cause these big ass publishers and devs don't give a sh*t about providing us with escapist entertainment anymore.

Added DoF, improved particles - including vol. clouds and smoke -, different or tweaked world lighting, tweaked color range and less view or rendering distance. And more graphical bugs. I see why it need more time to get more polished. Having that in mind it is a quite honest trailer.

A lot of that sh*t is already in the PC version. They could have at least gave the game f*cking ray tracing, which modders have actually done on PC.

What you said could be the case, but considering this game has generated something like $8 BILLION for Rockstar makes it feel more like greed at this point.

 

Yeah true, got it for free for pc so I'm not even slightly considering to buy it. Already have it for xbox360 and ps4.

I personally hope people won't buy it, because the damn sh*tbirds (not just rockstar) need to be put to work instead of re-re-releasing games with a 1 pixel adjustment.

 

It's a bit of a trend lately, seen the lazy attitude with other game companies as well like Blizzard (which got FF14 a lot of new members from what I've heard).

I know GTA is pretty much one of its kind, so the same result will probably not happen but it gives other developers an opportunity to take advantage of.

New games, stuff that makes you want to buy consoles, because with all these remasters, if I want to play an old game, I play it on PC or Xbox. Just the gamepass on PS5 would be a good move. The end of life of these consoles will probably be great with technically crazy games, I'm thinking of GTA 6 (will probably be a temporary exclusive on one of the consoles, who would have enough money to do that?) and Elder Scrolls 6 (PC/Xbox exclusive). Microsoft has the opportunity to crush Sony with these two games, which are console-sellers. Depriving Playstation of Elder Scrolls was very aggressive, but I don't think Microsoft is out to destroy Sony, at least for now. Curious to see how TakeTwo/Rockstar will position itself, especially in its game releases, and mainly GTA 6. Will they remain "neutral"? Will they continue to release remasters? The return of Agent? Bully? A new license? They have lost their popularity and the trust of the players, it's undeniable.

Seems like pretty much any part of the trailer that looked better than PC was because they used DoF or moved the sun for optimal lighting. Not sure why they bothered so much with story mode as well, do that many people really want to play through the story again? If they had NVE-like graphics in online that would be a good selling point.

Mankind needs new stuff, especially now, the covid pandemic takes too long, because of ppl that don't wanna get vaccinated (all ignorant ppl in my eyes). I wish i would live in Denmark, they are no idiots about that.

 

Ppl that are vaccinated should get their freedom back to 100%, never having to wear a mask at all etc. i want that the nightmare finally ends, and ppl get vaccinated.

We shouldn't be speaking about that on this forum, so I'm gonna express that no further than needed,

but since you're putting this here :
 

Being truely ignorant is ignoring that the vaccine doesn't protect you 100% (far from that with variants),

that you can still carry, contract and spread the virus, and that you can still get sick and/or hospitalized. Tho, at a lesser risk of all that, and that's good.

But it is not a miracle solution that will make the virus disappear and bring back our life "like before", and it never will be.

 

So vaccinated or not, no one will get "their freedom back 100%".

Specialy as long as our governments can play with it as they wish (but let's not talk about that lol)

We're in for that sh*t for a long time, even if the entire World population was vaccinated (which is not going to happen, realistically).

Hmmm, that's actually a good point. 

The High Resolution Textures already exist. That makes it even worse if "improved graphics" and a res and FPS bump is all we get.

The real issue is that 4k looks amazing on PC already and what we're seeing is optimized 4k footage on consoles with some mix of low and high settings to make it playable with ~60 fps.

 

Plus, is that fps in SP ≠ fps in online. To make matters worse, high fps with >100 will break the gameplay in Online as it was shown before and that's quite pissing for PC players already and AFAIK was never fixed.
