Like seriously the entire story hinges on said character’s death. A good number of the GTA IV/EFLC deaths don’t matter to GTA V’s story if they never happened, but GTA V’s writing is an inconsistent mess so I guess GTA VI can’t do much worse. Still I want GTA VI to be a stark and considerable improvement over GTA V and the first step is to avoid killing characters randomly because of ….reasons, but when I think of Franklin and how nonessential he becomes in GTA V I can’t see his (hypothetical) death being an important or valued device at all. Franklin is just a token black guy. Rockstar doesn't put in much effort into black protagonists. CJ, Luis, Vic....they all bland without much depth.
