hi everyone. so today i was thinking about all of rockstars amazing games. and i was thinking about all the rumors about the gta trilogy being remade. then i got to wondering. what would people rather have. all of rockstars games from gta 3 to red dead redemption 2. to be remade with rdr2 graphics and physics. basically like how mafia 1 was done. or have one new rockstar game.

now for me i pick the new rockstar game and i will explain.

while yes all of those games are great and deserve all the praise and awards they have. i would much rather have a brand new rockstar world to play in. of course i dont know exactly what the new game could be. so lets say if you want the new game you can pick which series you want it to be. if you want gta or red dead or even the game we never got to play agent. you can pick any rockstar game you want. whether its a sequel to a series. or even just a new setting entirely. for me i would pick bully 2. we already know bully 2 has been in and out of development. but i really think it deserves a sequel. so i would pick bully 2 over all of the old games. as awesome as it would be to play the old games with updated graphics and such. i would much rather have new content. and knowing how great rockstar is at making story modes. i just cant wait to play a new one again.

so what would you choose and why?

I'd definitely pick a new game over a remake. Having access to all Rockstar classics (such as RDR1 and LCS/VCS) on modern platforms in a playable state, while R* focuses on making new games would be the best scenario though. I am not too interested in III trilogy remaster/remake personally, I think the resources could have been spent better (on RDR1 remaster perhaps), and the ps2 classics could have just been patched to work properly, if R* was willing to do it.

Besides remaking older R* titles with RDR2 engine would require a complete reimagining. The missions, city layout and everything was designed with the simple features in mind, so all of that would have to be reworked. And to be honest I would not be interested in such game at all, these games were a product of their time and if the original versions are available on modern platforms in a playable state, I would be satisfied. I want R* to focus on new things.

I'd probably want the remade games over a new game, really just a remade Vice City and San Andreas would be good enough for me.

The reason being I'm not as interested in gaming as I was say a couple of years back and so I feel I would have a resistance in trying to learn and master a new game, whereas with a remade VC and SA there would be a comfort in familiarity for me so I might take to it better than a new game, and a remake could give it a fresh feel rather than feeling too repetitive, so those remakes would be a nice combination of new and familiar rather than a totally brand new experience which wouldn't appeal to my current mood.

Probably a new game would be the better option for more dedicated gamers, just laying out my perspective.

Algonquin Assassin

A new game.

If there's anything I'd like to see remade/remastered it's GTA IV/EFLC, RDR1 and possibly Midnight Club: Los Angeles since those games have never seen another release outside of their original releases and are more deserving for that reason IMO. If you have a PS4/PS5 you can pretty much play almost all of R*'s major PS2 releases anyway. I have them all except Red Dead Revolver.

All in all I would still pick a new game because I would rather something new to experience. That's what made me a fan of R*  in the first place. Remakes/remasters have their place, but they'll never be a substitute for something entirely new and exciting.

A GTA IV/EFLC re-release with PC graphics for all devices, better performance and more customization (Certainly for cars in the base game and TBoGT, bikes for TLAD, and clothing for EFLC in general) would be a dream come true. RDR1 mostly needs a PC version with Xbox One graphics.

I'd like to see how far r* can go when it comes to remake/remaster(s) - then watch the comparison videos after!

A new game, I have all their games for all PlayStation consoles, so I never been nostalgic for GTA games as I can play them whenever I want really. Actually playing San Andreas (PS2) on PS4 now
