An expanded Alderney?

Does anybody else wish that they made Alderney bigger? I kind of think Alderney was a missed opportunity. Maybe add an Area based on East Rutherford with Giants Stadium and Paterson, NJ to include more Sopranos/Mafia like characters to do missions for & random encounters with.

Definitely! Alderney is my favorite part of the map in the entire series so an expanded one would be sweet to see.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing it expanded in terms of size but my main problem with Alderney is that there's nothing there to encourage the player to go there. It feels like they put all the mini games and activities everywhere but Alderney so there's little reason to go there aside from main story missions or side content for 100%. There's a few stuff there but nothing that you can't do in Liberty City.

I always assumed the rest of Jersey was nearby as headcanon.

 

Would have been nice to have had a Northeast map expansion, with the Carraways, areas north of Algonquin and Bohan based on Yonkers and such, etc.

I'm sure I've seen an alleged beta version of the map with a chunk of countryside at the top of Alderney before. Dunno if it was legit or not though.

TLAD bases you there and makes better use of it but yeah, it's weird how there's way less stuff in Alderney than LC in IV. A lot less interiors and less of even the same businesses LC has (fast food places etc) let alone unique things. It has some cool things like the prison, large industrial and port areas and shipwrecks etc to explore, Honkers, easily accessible helicopters, and I do love Alderney City. But if there were just a couple of unique activities, a friend or girlfriend who lives there, a more interesting safehouse (maybe a house in Westdyke rather than just another dingy second floor apartment), more buildings with interiors even if it's just accessible stairs to the roof, and I always thought they definitely should've given that big police station in Leftwood a cool interior, it would be much better.

Yes, I think it's the map we can see on the table in the Alderney Safehouse.

 

I wish we could buy cars and bikes in that game, a bike store could be located in Alderney.

There is a bike store (and a car store) in Alderney, but yeah it would've been cool to be able to buy them and not always just steal them. Come to think of it the existing one did bring me over there a few times though, since I always wanted one when I was doing stunt jumps and they're hard to find in traffic in IV.
