Game Keeps Deleting All My Sniper Rifle Ammunition

I do not know why but the game keeps taking all my sniper rifle ammo away and leaves me with forty rounds. I then have to pay a whopping 72k to get it back only for it to disappear again. This is very annoying as well as hard on the wallet. Do any of you have a solution to this problem. I tried everything. Including saving right after purchasing it by switching outfits. I am at wits end here.

I have the opposite, Everytime I switch sessions, the game restore my incendiaries ammo for no reasons

Maybe if you clear the game cache it will solve your issue idk

It's a bug that has been around a long time. The only solution is for Rockstar to fix it.

 

I suspect the bug may be related to the single player weapon loadout, but no real evidence.

 

If you don't want to pay for sniper ammo you could use a custom job to refill it or afk over the heavy sniper spawn in the hangar. But that's probably a waste of time because $72k is peanuts since the CPH.

Don't keep buying full ammo? It's not a fix, but if you know it's just going to disappear again...

Hmm I may max out ammo for the sniper rifle on all my single player characters and see what that does.

Well the problem with that is when I get caught in a fight with a K/D warrior who keeps sniping me and I do not have the ammo to defend myself and fire back. Just an easy target is all I am.

There maxed out all their shooting so I can get 9999 ammo for all three characters, now lets see what happens.

You'll never win against K/D warriors, it's all they live for. Just go passive or change sessions, or you'll end up wasting more ammo than you lose with the bug. Also, how much sniper ammo can you get through in one firefight? They're hardly known for their rapid fire abilities. If you really need to top up, there's always the interaction menu.

I have a solution to this. When they invariably invite you to "1v1 beach" with them, accept, and when they are there waiting for you, wiggling back and forth in their white socks, turn up in a savage and obliterate them. Then leave the session. That's what I do.

I do the same thing but without the savage. Instead, I watch them head over and message "sorry, Mom says it's bedtime. Bye" and leave the session. Make them think they were being all agro on a 8 year old.

 

Also, don't fight K/D warriors. It's not worth your time unless you have a YouTube channel and making them look like the clowns they are is what pays your bills.

True, but the inventory let's us buy ammo if in a pinch, might be ideal to pay a few bucks more to grab what you need on the spot than fully fill up and keep losing that much.

Unfortunately in my case, it doesn't help. My story characters are on full shooting and ammo too, but the game see's me lose ammo too often.

 

IMHO, it's a bug from going on call, getting kicked, or quitting jobs. That's when I know I'm likely to lose ammo. Not just the sniper either, could be the MKII ammo or explosives/RPG's too.

 

But alas, it costs us rather than gives us money. No prizes for guessing where that is on the 'to fix' pile.

I may have a fix for it. I always use that one when I have dissapearing ammo but mine usually does stick at an ammount I had before getting bugged (my ammo usually refills by itself).

 

Ok onto the fix:

Go to ammunation and fill up the ammo you are loosing. Then go to a gunlocker and hide all the guns that use that ammotype. Hide them individually not with the hide all! (I usually use my arcade gunlocker since that works best for some reason.)

After you have hidden the weapons change your outift and shut the game down completly. After that restart the game unhide your weapons change your outfit again and switch session.

Your ammo should now stick again.

Same happens to me all the time with shotgun ammo. Picking up shotgun ammo from the nightclub or submarine seems to trigger the bug but it also happens randomly.

 

Also, the stupid load outs from CPH and robbery contracts are constantly changing my gun skins, tints and attachments. NO, I do NOT want a suppressor on my Deagle… it already sounds wimpy enough without the suppressor.
