What are some of your guys' favorite articles of clothing to dress your guy in? Can be coats or hats or whatever.

I really like the Black Panther cloak, and the Legend of the East vest with the pocketwatch on it. Both of these items require a bit of work to get, so I really feel like I earned them once I get them.

I don't ever dress Arthur in fancy derbies or anything because I don't really feel like they fit his style. That vest with the watch is all class though, don't matter if you're trudging through the bayou carrying around a headless o'driscoll, that sh*t is stylish no matter what you're doing

Since I learned how easy it is to get shirtless Arthur (and remove the holster, keep the winter coat ect) on 1.00 I have been wearing a lot of the trapper vests. I generally like them all. Crocodile Dundee Arthur! A bunch of the trapper coats on 1.00 have glitched textures unfortunately so I've been avoiding them.

I change his clothes at the start of every session into some new combo and I've stopped saving outfits.

I do have a "Van Der Linde Gang" outfit I put together for big missions with the gang. It will mostly be black with some red to stay consistent with Dutch's look. It's more of a colour scheme.

I also sometimes like Summer Gunslinger when I want to be "nostalgic." Though I replace the default suede jacket from that with the beaver jacket (forget its name) you get from the trapper.

Edit: I just wanted to bitch and moan for a second to say having no buttoned up coats or jackets is generally ridiculous. Also no open vests. It makes copying outfits from my favourite Western movies really difficult.

I tend to use the original outfits or I just mix them and try to create something new. Can't say I'm a fashionist of any sorts but I try to do my best.

If I'm doing a serious playthrough I mostly stick with Arthur's starting outfits, picking up a few new ones each chapter, but keeping the same general style. Nothing fancy unless the mission calls for it. I'll keep his gambler hat or none at all.

Otherwise I dress up with a cap peaky blinders style aha, or just wear some tie / vest / french shirt / dress pants combo, with deluxe or old west boots.

Same this has always bothered me. Also the fact that you can't have an open collar with neck items in most cases. Wouldn't be that hard to put these things in the game...

With all the hats in this game I will use pretty much any hat over Arthur's default hat, including the variants of it with the accessories

I thought those fluffy ass Legendary coyote half chaps looked really goofy in the shop, but I bought them and I end up really liking them, they go good with a desert type outfit, matches the Rustic vest pretty well

My favorite hat is the worn stovepipe hat. Wish it was in online. At the beginning of every playthrough, I always get one of those hats as soon as i can.

I'm pretty sure my favorite hat is the Legendary Cougar Flop Hat. Suitable for a fancy night on the town, or just lazing around a field somewhere sleeping the afternoon away. The feather in it is just all style for all occasions. Just sucks that not a lot of other clothes go with it too well gotta wear a bit of light grey or white or you look like a damn scarecrow

I pretty much now find myself stealing any hats you can't keep when I start a session now.  Has there been any new hats found we can keep over the last couple of years? I haven't looked at the list for a long time.

As far as I know there are 40 stolen hats, plus 8 more that don't spawn anywhere making them unobtainable without a trainer

I never did get the mountaineer hat, I'm going to try your method I just saw in that thread.

I really like the Trapper outfits, specifically the The Ghost Bison, The Bounty Hunter, The Desperado, The Wrangler and The Huntsman. I usually use The Wrangler or The Bounty Hunter in Chapter 2 as default. From Ch 3 and onwards, I use The Marauder and pack up a few warm outfits for the cold regions (Ghost Bison, Wrangler). The Desperado is my fav while riding on the Silver Turkoman with the Litchfield in hand... :D

Other than that, most of the time I buy some clothes from the shops, and mix them - don't really use factory shop outfits.

Why does everybody think the Coyote Scout Jacket looks weird/stupid? Is there some inside joke or real bit of history trivia I'm not understanding, or is it just a bug with the item?

It seems to be a bug, which is a shame because it's a cool looking Jacket
