Completing The Union Depository Contract, or any other Robbery Contract for that matter, will also dish out 2X GTA$ and RP, all week long.

Eeewwww eeewwww eeewww. I guess I'll play without headphones this week.

- Grotti Itali RSX – 40% off

- Benefactor Krieger – 40% off

- Nagasaki Weaponized Dinghy – 40% off

Dinghy for me, hope they discount the Longfin and Kurtz next. I might buy the Krieger as well, been thinking about it for some time now.

I would love to get my hands on a 4th RSX, but space is limited in my Grotti garage and have to reserve some for the future. Very tempting though.

Oh and we're getting the new hotness for free, yay!

@Spider-Vicethank you for doing this week's thread, you beat me to it.

I only see the normal payouts for the contracts.  Will you get the double when youve completed them?

"LS Car Meet members who place first in five different street races will receive the new Übermacht Cypher as this week's prize ride..."

Sigh... guess I'll have to enter the kindergarten clusterf*ck once again this week

Yeah, the splash screen after the contract says the regular payout but so far I've gotten the double pay though. An oversight by R* is all.

540 grand for the UD was pretty nice, even for a rich man. Shame about the wankass weapon loadout. What the f*ck is a sniper rifle for on that job, shooting pigeons?

The escape took me back though. Same route as the firetruck from the casino - over the grass, through Martin's place and into the fields until they bugger off. Ah, good memories.

Giving away the Ubermacht Cypher for FREE this week is really generous, I think, especially considering it's the dripfeed vehicle too. Getting first place in five Series races is child's play because you only need two players. Thanks Rockstar!

I might even do a bit of Tiny Racers even though everyone detests 'adversary modes', but those two unbearable knobheads ruin potentially decent contact missions, even for 2X pay! No thanks.

They sure do. It's a shame too because they are pretty good missions but you can only take so much of them.

In the finales, going into your garage, and exiting with a personal vehicle both cut off the schtick.

Well I wasn't planning on buying the Cypher because I'm not the biggest fan of the 2 Series but I won't say no to a free one. Too bad I got to sell something to make room for both it and the Previon.

Contract missions are okay, I'll take more advantage of them on my comparatively broke bumkin second account than my main though. At least I don't have to hear the cell phone love fest since I have the phone audio set to come out of the controller speaker and I have the speaker itself muted. Nice little workaround for those likewise on ps4.

Ohhh! Good tip. I hope I can do something like that on Xbox.

Double is nice but I'm still only gonna replay UD and Fleeca, I love the Lost one but just find the other setups and finales either boring or frustrating(Super Dollar and ECU in particular)

Bought the Cypher anyway. Didn't want to get back into the chaos that is Tuner races nor did I want to stoop to dirty host/lobby manipulation tricks.

I was looking forward to the Depository contract, and was wondering when/if we'd ever be so lucky to get double money on contracts, but both at the same time?

e8v720C.png

And I'm apparently the only person on the planet who doesn't gripe about Sess and Moodymann (honestly, having a laid-back guy with naturalistic-if-spicy patter is so much more bearable than "I'M A ONE-NOTE CARICATURE WITH ONLY ONE GAG, AND I'M GOING TO THINK OUT LOUD AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS EVERY FIVE MINUTES!", like 90% of characters in the game...), so there's really no downside to binge-playing contracts as much as possible this week (and with a quiet week in RDO this week, too - so that works out nicely!).

On the other hand, Tiny Races... :sigh: Really amused by how this event week centres around all the things R*'s doing right with GTAO at the moment (good missions, good cars, good payouts), but juxtaposed with one of GTAO's most hilariously-inept misfires - still boggles my mind that, for a series that started as a Micro Machines-style top-down racer, 'just copy Micro Machines, but with stunt race props' was right there as a steal, and someone still managed to utterly faceplant with it instead.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

I love the Cypher and getting it for free on all my characters just by doing some solo races with my second Xbox is a huge bonus. I've been wanting a Landstalker XL on my second character but I've been waiting on a discount but free is even better. 2x contracts is fantastic they are my favourite thing in the game after regular contact missions. Discounts are good too I can get a Krieger on my low level account. This is probably the best event week this year year for me.

I agree with Moodyman and Sessanta being really annoying but I play with my Xbox connected to my PC monitor and my laptop is next to my monitor so I just Watch Netflix while playing contracts. Might rewatch Rick and Morty while playing the contracts this week.

I did 2 contract missions yesterday, i wasn't hosting them, i only did get 100k for the first mission, but not for the second one. Kinda buggy i guess, like so many other things.

For me, Sessanta and Moodyman don't add anything to the missions and their dialogue should have been stripped down. The fact is, we don't talk ourselves in-game so we need to have third-party chatter instead to make things more 'exciting', or so Rockstar think? I find their input intrusive and distracting, which can be thankfully avoided by not doing their missions. They even talk on speakerphone in the autoshop. Why?

Alright...we have the correct livery (best they could do to make it like the one from the BMW from NFS Most Wanted). It came first in an Audi (it most be a trolling from R*'s side), now, it comes to a BMW, but not the correct version. It was an improvement, but can we get the right one next DLC, Rockstar? Please. 😂 (also the Nissan S15...we have the S13 but that's not the one that we were expecting from the perspective of getting F&F references).

Best i could do:

Has the method of quitting contracts and getting a new board been patched? I mean ringing Silly Bitch as soon as you exit the Auto Shop or am I doing it wrong?

It worked for me yesterday to get the UD job the first time I played it.

I just visited the auto shop, picked a job, backed out then exited the auto shop and called Sessanta. I didn't quit my CEO at the time though. Popped back in and it popped up straight away.

Thought I was lucky as was expecting to have to repeat a few times to try the new contract. :)

To follow up @RyuNova, it worked again tonight too. PS5 though in case there's an issue.

Agreed, but that's more of a general R* problem, in my view - it's like they're afraid of leaving any quiet moments, so they just fill the space with grating chatter. I mean, it's not like there's a whole bunch of radio stations full of expensive licensed music we could listen to instead, is there? :p

Yeah, this load out nonsense sucks, at least pick better weapons or let us pick 3 of whatever we want.

Crazy event week.. if you had the time you could probably grind out the cost of nearly all the cars from the Tuners DLC if you were down to grind all week.. With the prize ride there s not incentive to do that but you theoretically could though.

It would be more tolerable if their blabbing didn't more often than not turn into a horn fest filled with "muhfukuhs" sprinkled throughout. Even as a parody of a ghetto Bonnie and Clyde, assuming that's what they were going for, it's more cringey than funny.

Rockstar think we're about 12 and thoroughly impressed by the urban banter, which is funny for an 18-rated game that seems to be scripted for kids.
