ady22
Hiya, I did try to search for this problem before posting. Running a strong PC with 64gb DDR4 RAM, i7 10700F (10th gen) CPU, Nvidia GTX 1660 Geforce (6gb) runs lovely.....except the sound (external Terratec USB DMX 6fire) popping and crackling. Music plays lovely on headphones with YT and Winamp. Set to 48000 and 24 bit. swicthed to 44000 24 bit and sound went to totally not working. W10 64bit with 1TB SSD drives. firewall/AV running - seems to be driving people nuts inc me. I ran a patch which I was told would make the game become much more stable, that worked fine. Any ideas massively appreciated. Half way through game, so would rather NOT uninstalling it and then re-installing it tbh. TIA.
P2FX
I have a Tempotec USB DAC which is Terratec's Chinese associate and I have no problems. Try increase USB streaming buffer size, and update your nvidia driver(nv's driver has high DPC latency bug some versions ago) Stick to 48Khz for this game all of RDR2's sound files are in 32 or 48 Khz so set to 48Khz to avoid non-integer sample rate conversion.
