The original site was www.rockstargames.com/classics and if you wanted a game you gave them your email address and they emailed you a link to download the game. That site was taken down in 2013. Having said that, I haven't heard that the games on this site are malware or anything. That will give you the updated versions of GTA 1 and 2, from 2002. This version of GTA 1 is known to be problematic, at least on modern hardware. If you get a slow frame rate, press F11 and switch to 32-bit colour. If you have problems, you could use this version instead: GTA 2 should be fine. Found this few weeks ago at work, amongst some other oldies like Sim City 2000 & 3000, Heroes IV and EA Sports NHL 95!
