Shipwreck Clothing Scraps And Outfit

Anyone collecting the shipwreck clothing scraps to unlock the pirate outfit? Apparently there is one hidden on the map every day and finding seven of them will unlock the outfit.

 

I found the map below of all of the possible spawn points. Today on 8/27 the scrap was at point 11. The box is at a little beach area along the river.

Well, got my outfit already thanks to GTA series videos. If you’re in a rush to get it I’d check out their video quick before it gets patched… glad I caught it, the outfit is cool but kinda meh, saves me from having to find the location every day for a week.

Will the controller vibrate if you're flying just above the spots, or do you have to be on the ground walking?

You have to be on the ground and fairly close to it.

Unlocked the outfit a while ago (got it along with the lsc unlocks because R* quality gaming) but i wanna get it properly, the problem is that i've yet to find any of these shipwrecks, does somebody have a picture of what im supposed to look for? i saw an actual shipwreck in a loading screen that was describing this collectible, but idk if thats whats supposed to appear or if that's just some artist rendering of the idea of this collectible? (read: im not sure if that was just a pic of some unrelated cayo perico shipwreck or if thats what im actually supposed to find??????)

I circled past all these points several times two days in a row now and never saw a shipwreck anywhere?...

Also on a somewhat related note, i've never managed to complete the stupid movie prop collectibles for my secondary character, did they stop spawning or something?

I'm documenting them daily here.

But don't be surprised if you never see them.

I have 4 accounts, 2 with 2 active characters, so 6 characters total. all of them saw the first day's wreckage and collected the 20K and the scrap. Main account main character has not seen any more, even when standing next to my other PCs characters who are looking directly at it. 3 others were collecting OK daily, but a second char now can't see the third day's wreck.

 

They just do not spawn for that character.

 

The daily collectible in the inventory always says 1/1 for that character.

 

And they don't have the outfit magically unlocked early either.

 

It's just bugged like much of the other content in this update.

I only play in solo lobbies, but if someone really wanted to be an a-hole the shipwreck spots would be a good place to leave proximity mines.

They are sometimes near a pile of rocks away from the main cliffs. They are also tiny, like half of a row boat. The map Jamwes posted above shows the spots and if your on Xbox, the controller vibrates when you get close.

I just did this to a lvl 32 on a fairly quiet public server, he took the bait like a champ.

Found it at location 24 or 25 or 26... Can't recall exactly... Started at 1, so took me awhile and when I finally got it, closed gta and went offline...

 

I like these searches, but damn, these things are hard to see... Second day (second part for me) I had to land the chopper and I could have sworn it wasn't visible when I was 

flying by in the Sparrow... Ah well.. another one in the bag...

and at least one of my dud accounts can randomly see it again (yay, he picks up scrap #2).

I always AFK overnight in the LSCM and because of this my shipwreck is not resetting when I restart the game in the morning. It just says 1/1 in the interaction menu. So annoying!

No, just go to the one that is active today. #9 in todays case.

It's partially submerged at the bottom of the rocky cliff. You'll see the boat (depending on the water level) and hear the windchime-esq noise - also your controller may vibrate. 

Just to the left (north, in today's case) you'll find the treasure chest.
