GTA 3 PS2 SLES 50330 1.4 - What's it worth?

I have the original release of the game on PS2 in fair condition (map and manual included, but some wear and age on the paperwork and disc), that is the PAL version SLES 50330/UK, bought before classification in Australia. It went on sale in Australia late October 2001, the classification board refused to classify it in late November, and so all the shops handed back unsold copies to be destroyed. The game was re-released in 2002 with content removed to allow for classification.

 

I have held onto it because it was the first game I bought and have realised that its scarcity and circumstances around its removal from shelves could make it a collectors item. Should I hold onto it or could it fetch a decent price? Where would something like this get sold?

You can get a few bucks for it on ebay, $10 to $30 depending on condition. Its not exactly rare. There are rare ps2 games that are increasing in value (check out silent hill 2-4 or manhunt), but gta3 isnt one of them in any form.

It’s worth nothing mate the rating change doesn’t mean anything. It’s only worth money if it’s sealed and a first edition. Stop thinking any gta related is worth big bucks.

Version 1.4 of GTA III is pretty rare, but not expensive. I'd say about $15-$20 depending on the condition.
