If you liked the gang and the government storyline in San Andreas, then this MP is for you. The year is 1999. It's a hot summer at Grove Street, who are still holding on to their anti-narcotics policy. Up steps Weston King, better known as Roddy, a 19 year old psychopath who likes photography, fast cars, has a villainous sense of humor and knows no fear to reap havoc through Grove Street's ranks. His three best friends, LB, Big Bear and Snoop, rob a Burger Shot, however, after LB was identified at the crime scene, everything changes forever for them. This MP draws heavy inspiration from several movies & other pieces of media, namely TV series The Wire.

 

8 missions, all killer, no filler. Each have around 100 objectives, pushing the DYOM engine to the limit and will pump your adrenaline levels through the roof. The missions explore new ideas that you have never seen on DYOM before, with levels of character depth, development, continuity and symbolism shown in these missions will blow your mind to Las Venturas and back! Want a mission where you have to fly a car into a helicopter? Or how about a mission where you have to hold on to a plane's wing and hijack it? Still not convinced? Then feel free to go through this thread, there are no spoilers towards the storyline whatsoever.

This MP isn't meant to feel like a new game. It's rather an extension mod to San Andreas, and creates a whole new world while reusing great characters from the original game.

There are many characters in this storyline, but there are five major factions which hold most of the main characters. Those factions are:

 

• The Families: An anti-narcotics gang in San Andreas, their biggest enemies are the Ballas. Their leader is still Sweet, but CJ has quit gangbanging. Their main members are LB, Big Bear, Roddy, Snoop, OG Loc, Sweet, Jarvis, Slink, Jesse, Emmett and Wayne.
• The Ballas: The main villains of the story, they are currently the biggest gang in Los Santos but however they are suffering from a leadership crisis. Their main members include Slim Louis, B Dup, King C, Loud Glizzy, Cherry, Bogman, Muscle and Bird.
• The White Supremacists: A group of bloodthirsty, white supremacists who recently got released from jail. They own the biggest Cocaine distribution ring in America, and despite their clear racism, agree to partner up with King C to distribute cocaine across Los Santos. Their three main members are Charles, Lester and Jack.
• The Los Santos Police Department: There are three main characters affiliated with the LSPD, and those are Pulaski Jr, Carl and Sawyers. They are a corrupt unit and while each of them have their own ambitions and goals, they seem to unite on most police work.
• The Agency: These guys run everything. While no name is given to the agency, its leader is Commander Jackson while the members in it include Florian Johnson, Mike Toreno, and Commander Davis, who governs over the state senate and the police department. 
  

Weston "Roddy" King

The main protagonist. He's the anti-hero of this story, he appears a psychopath with a villainous sense of humor who will go the extra mile to take down anyone who stands up to him. His main motivation in the storyline is to get power and be respected throughout the streets of Los Santos, but while he gets that, he is still looked down on as Snoop's sidekick, and is always being bossed around by everyone until he decides to break out. In later missions, he adopts a Silenced Pistol as his primary weapon of usage. His favorite radio station is Playback FM.

Crystal "Snoop" Wilson

Spoiler

The deuteragonist of the storyline, she is a female gangster who's also a lesbian. Unlike Roddy, she has a moral compass and is more sensible, however, she still chases after money and has taken the life of crime to do that. She is much more respected than Roddy, but Roddy is richer than she is. Her signature weapon is a Combat Shotgun, however, other characters use it as well.

Chauncey "King C" Sawyers

Spoiler

The leader of the Ballas. He is a benevolent, "everybody-eats" type of leader, and loves his Ballas friends, however he is a convicted sex offender and is looked down upon by other members of his gang.

Bird

Spoiler

The trigger-happy Ballas henchman. While he may appear psychotic and has a villainous sense of humor, he still has a moral compass. Appearance-wise, he resembles rapper 50 Cent.

Slim Louis

Spoiler

The Ballas underboss, he secretly dislikes King C because he has respect for "the game". He's B Dup's best friend since he was 13, and is his drug pushing buddy. He is respected by both Grove Street and Ballas gang members, but won't hesitate to kill anybody who steps in his way.

Ricky Sawyers

Spoiler

A corrupt police officer who is King C's brother. His true motivation is to climb through the ranks, and will use King C to arrest Grove Street members. He reports to Commander Davis.

Eddie Pulaski, Jr.

Spoiler

A police officer who is almost a replica of his father. He is Ricky Sawyers' partner, and is just as big of a piece of sh*t as he is.

Mike Toreno

He's the same Mike Toreno from GTA San Andreas, however his personality has changed a little.

I will include a piece of behind-the-scenes trivia for most recurring characters and every mission.

 

Characters:

• Roddy: Roddy was not named after the rapper. He was named after my friend's pet dog. Roddy's character is inspired by Rico from Paid in Full, and his alternate skin was originally the main villain in an MP I made in 2015. Roddy's favorite radio station is Playback FM.
• Snoop: In the beta, Snoop would join the Ballas in the finale.
• LB: LB's character was put to show a warning to the player on how drugs can ruin gangs.
• Jarvis: In the beta version of this MP, Jarvis killed Roddy in the 7th mission.
• Wayne: Wayne is based off Azie Faison, a real life drug dealer. 
• Slim Louis: Slim was named after Slim Charles from The Wire.
• B Dup: B Dup sometimes quote rapper The Game, who voice-acted him in GTA San Andreas.
• King C : King C's real name, Chauncey, was taken from Clifton Powell's character from Menace II Society. Clifton Powell plays Big Smoke in GTA San Andreas.
• Bird: Bird's appearance and character were both based of 50 Cent's character in Power and as of him normally.
• Loud Glizzy: Glizzy was meant to have been killed by the neo nazis for being too talkative.
• Johnny: Johnny originally had a bigger role in the story, and there was supposed to be an entire mission where you took pictures around town.
• Florian Johnson: Florian originally was created in 2019. He was meant to be for an MP called San Andreas stories where you had to play as CJ and he was the main villain.
• Jack: Originally, Jack was meant to be the main villain of the story. In the beta, he had a much bigger role. However, he still manages to bag 2 appearances and a custom skin in this storyline.
• Charles: Charles was supposed to kill Loud Glizzy at one point, however, he got reduced to a minor character.
• Pulaski: There was a storyline in the beta where Pulaski Sr. would fake his death, however, it was scrapped for being too stupid.

Missions:

• The mission "The Airplane Highjacking" consists of two primary objectives. The first one came from an MP called Anthony Stories (2017) and the second one came from an MP called Perry Stories (2015), both by me.
• The mission "Grand Heist" has a cutscene where King C name drops T-Down. T-Down is a character in an MP called The Flats, however there isn't necessarily any continuity between both.
• The mission "Boss Rush" pays tribute to a mission called Just Cause: San Andreas, in which you have to do a drive by from a moving carriage truck.

There are also many easter eggs throughout the storyline which you can find.

• Q: Why is this only 8 missions?

A: The point is to catch your attention. If there were 24 missions, each one objective, it wouldn't be this fun to play. The DYOM community as it is has a short attention span and nothing ever picks up track so making it 8 missions is the most sensible option in my opinion.

• Q: Why are you not using DYOM#?

A: The objective here is to show you how far the DYOM engine can go.

• Q: Bird looks like 50 Cent, Slim Louis looks like Ryder, Jack looks like Barry Mills and Florian looks like Will Smith. Why is that?

A: In the original game, many of the story characters & NPCs resemble a rapper. I feel this could be good continuity from the San Andreas storyline.

• Q: How is Pulaski still alive?

A: He is not. Pulaski Jr. is Pulaski's son. Pulaski Sr. was murdered by CJ in San Andreas, but his son decided to follow his footsteps and joined the police force.

• Q: There's two B Dups in Forest Adventure!!!

A: It's level design.

• Q: Forest Adventure is a rip off version of The Sopranos!!!

PLEASE do not cheat and if a cutscene crashes your game, then skip it. That is all! After a long day of designing this MP, I must lay my brain, fingers, and my adderall-ridden soul to sleep. 10/10! I just played it and I loved the missions Forest Adventure and Boss Rush.

The Plane Highjacking was very hard so I used ROCKETMAN pls dont get mad :c

Sorry to tell you but there won't be a part 2. The ending is the ending, it's not sad but it's meaningful.

 

If anyone else wants a sequel, in my opinion you should just replay this MP. The cutscenes go really in depth onto the characters so you'll pick up something new, while the exciting objectives will all be as fun they were the first time you played them.

Okay so a lot of people might be stuck on mission 2 and mission 4. I will tell you how to clear those missions:

 

Mission 2: The Plane Highjacking

Spoiler

When you're on the wing of the plane, wait for it to take off. Then, run as far left to the wing as you can and keep sprinting forward (like tap tap tap space). This should trivialize this mission, although the next objective is somewhat difficult.

 

Mission 4: Forest Adventure

Spoiler

The final objective where you have to drive a car into a helicopter is extremely difficult, but I'll walk you through it. The obstacles (the tree and the garbage can) are designed to help you get the perfect shot on the chopper. If you're really desperate, disable the anti cheat mod, and as soon as you reach the checkpoint type ALLCARSGOBOOM. I don't really want people to cheat but if you want to beat this MP that is what you have to do.

 

If there are any crashes, tell me and I will try to trouble shoot them. Some cutscenes crash if you skip them (the 2nd cutscene in Heist), good luck everybody

Quick Update

Okay, I found a crash in the first mission. Thanks to zeko for pointing it out.

Second mission involving holding on a wing on the plane is just meh. I'm always falling off the wing, because plane pans up and then i bug out and randomly falling out killing my character. Any fixes?

So here's what you're going to do. When you're on the wing, keep sprinting (tap tap space over and over) and run forward. It takes a little bit of trial and error but once you do it you're going to pass the mission

A lot of people are complaining about the Helicopter Takedown mission. What I'm going to do is make it optional, if you fail to take down the heli then you'll still pass the mission. I'm going to remaster the MP later today and make some quality of life improvements (also the final boss fight has a bug if you skip the cutscene so I will fix that)

Just for somebody recording the series, when cutscenes fade to black you can do anything magic with video rendering. Just record first and second part, and then paste it together and it will look like it was done the same day. The mission is difficulty VERY HARD, and the jump is even harder from the cliff I think what you can try, is to make sure you first turn on more of your draw distance, and second go a little bit left at the jump, or find a spot where there's "lower" ground (because car is hard to line up and sometimes it doesen't reach the chopper because chopper is too low). If you're tired, just turn on frame limiter and chopper should bug out and destory itself in the trees, you need to jump from the cliff and jump out only to pass the mission.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I'm glad you liked it, and yeah I couldn't do anything to fix it. Sometimes the DYOM engine will just say no and that sucks tbh.

I'm gonna overhaul the OP, maybe detail what the story is truly about and add some new graphics.
