How do you like to sprinkle the side content in throughout the story for 100%?

So we all know how good the side content can be in San andreas I don't want to preach the the choir but one of my favorite ways to do it is by sprinkling it throughout the story in ways that make sense either for story or for pace. For instance I like to do (spawns permit) all of the import/export missions before any of the desert missions. I imagine after taking over SF CJ takes a few weeks to really get his mechanic business going. It is my head cannon that only after doing that CJ gets the call from Toreno. I also like to do each of the arena missions while I'm in that city so that my time in that city feels more fleshed out. Are there any unique ways you like to tackle the side content during the story?
