Your favorite OG vehicles

Just curious which cars and other vehicles were in the game at launch that you still have love for and use.

 

I won't throw out a huge list, although I could. Here are favorites from three separate categories:

- The Bati. All these years and all these bikes later, and this dirt-cheap beast is still the best in its class, at least for some purposes. There is no time trial the Bati can't destroy. Love it.

 

- The Buzzard. Yes it is outclassed by many later helicopters, as well as the Oppressor Mk II. But it's nimble, it's convenient, it looks sharp, and it just works. I still, at least a few times a week, use it to free-aim missiles at someone who killed me, and experience great joy at realizing that they've just realized they are f*cked.

 

- Last but certainly not least, the Carbonizzare. I drive mine, I drive ones I steal off the street, I drive them all. Still fast, still fun. The handling is just the right amount of slippery and the engine note is inspiring. When the sun is out the top goes down; when the rain falls I put it back up again. What a great car.

Grotti Turismo R

I still love the handling, sound and look of the car, i still use it on a regular basis, not for races of course, but in free roam it's still a good car to just drive around.

Love that car too, but fun fact, it's not a launch car! It is one of the earliest DLC supers, though. Was added in the Business Update DLC, March 2014. So one of the very oldest DLC cars.

Dominator. First car I had in online. Spent nearly 2 years outside in Sandy Shores waiting for my character to start moving again. 
 

Also use the Bati and Buzzard regularly.

I still use my Sprunk Bati a lot.

 

Haven't taken it out in a little while but I do like cruising in my regular Coquette. It looks sharp in a lot of colors too. I had it painted white for ages and would do drug deal missions with it. Then I had it yellow for quite a while too, black, red...now it's ultra blue.

 

Buzzard is still great for contact missions.

 

I just had my Phoenix out the other day to check out how the spawns were for it these days. I think it's the oldest car I have.

The Ratloader is still one of my very favourites, and I've had one since it was first discovered they could spawn in Sandy Shores, when it was so rare that R* assumed they were ill-gotten and removed them as part of a larger wipe (or tried to at least, fortunately for me).

 

I also enjoy driving the Felon and the Injection, and the (rusty) Rebel still has good customisation with all of the tube frame parts that can be swapped onto it. My first 10-car garage is full of launchday cars other than a later Casco, and they still get taken out now and then. If PC launchday cars counted, the Dukes is undoubtedly my most driven car, but it wasn't there yet back on PS3.

In fairness, the Infernus is not a bad little run-around even to this day.

The Akuma still performs well, looks good, and have dedicated sectors on some transform races, so if you wanna do those with custom vehicles on, the Akuma is a must have.

The Batti is dirt cheap and still have good performance in comparison to DLC bikes, so if you want to do time trials or stunts in dangerous areas where it might end in a body of water, don't stress it, the insurance is almost free.

The Z-Type is still one of the best sports classic if we are talking about long races where top speed is priority, look good and is based on a legendary car.

The Cargobob will always be one of the most important vehicles until Rockstar replaces it with something better because of it's utility.

The Laser is still one of the best Dogfighters in the game, and have the beam of death that people complain so much.

The Saddler is still a cool truck, still number one on it's small class, and have the cool ability to tow stuff.

I still use my Bati and love my Coquette but my favourite OG vehicle is the Entity XF.

Pretty sure #3 wasn't an OG by any means, but i've been in love with this car for years and so far nothing has looked better & after all these years its still my go-to PV.

Does the Western Daemon count? Because that was one of my go-to vehicle alongside the Obey 9F Cabrio in the early days, but the only one that existed was the Lost MC version, and the only way to get that was stealing one, but when Bikers released I replaced my Lost Daemon with the one that update brought to the game in 2017 and still use it to this day.

Picador. Looks great (holds up remarkably well compared to more recent cars), sounds great, drives great, and really the only thing holding it back is a lack of modern GTAO customisation options. Need a Picador Custom at Benny's at some point (more like the Gauntlet Classic Custom, rather than a lowrider) - or even just add decal options, like R* have already done with the Kuruma, Prairie, etc.

 

Plus, I'm just a sucker for less common body styles, like utes, panel vans, and shooting brakes (the Fagaloa was a must-buy, for the same reason), and the Picador scratches that itch really nicely.

People where talking in a topic about modernizing some vehicles, and a lot of people pointed out the picador, I even made a photoshop of how I would like to see it (wider, lower to the ground etc.)

The Ruiner ( ) Back in the day It was one of the better Vehicles for starters. Its speed was acceptable, It handled like a dream for a Muscle car (Back in 2013 - 2015 of course) and it was my first car IRL but rustier, slower and everything sounded in that thing but the horn. Anyway my other Fav OG vehicle is the Cheetah, was my first super car and still own Both cars on my collection :3

Washington, Stanier because I like those big Panther Platform boats. Too bad the Dundreary Admiral didn't make it to V so I could have the trio of them. 

But I also quite like the Tornado, Schwartzer, Oracle XS, Emperor, Manana, Sabre Turbo and the Comet.

Ruiner, Phoenix and Feltzer. 

Out of these three i prefer the ruiner. What can i do i love 80s tacky cars, specially when you can throw some weird colors and still manages to look good.  

The lowriders i guess doesnt count, although they look identical to the OG cars, they are technically different vehicles.

I have a few but the Pfister Comet is my top 1:

 

 

I bought this car somewhere in 2014 so I could be competitive in Sports class, and it was a Porsche so it just had to bought as I'm a long time fan of the car maker.

 

It was yellow when I first purchased it, I tried to mimic Brucie's gold Comet from GTA IV but unfortunately no LSC yellow and gold colors in this game comes close to that, so one day I kept experimenting with the paintjobs and Pearls and found this paintjob. It was just too perfect so I wouldn't dare to touch it, seven years later and it still has the same paintjob(I'm thinking about giving it a worn texture).

 

I haven't sold it and never will, and it will always have a spot in my daily drivers garage, why? Besides all the reasons stated above, this car has a proper interior that matches the dimensions, fits the style of the car, makes a reference to the real life counterpart, and the dials are visible through the steering wheel as they should.

 

It also features a proper engine sound similar to how a 911 of that era would sound, which also sounds louder and meaner in first person which is a reference to the mythical rear-engined, rear drive layout, it also handles just like a Porsche should handle without assists.

 

Also I cant find a fault with the car's model, besides the lack of tuning options that is, but since I don't really like to go crazy with my car builds I just ignore this.

 

It's a driver's car as a OG car can be.

1. Sanchez. My most driven vehicle. I still use it all the time, either the CEO version or my personal one. Also was the vehicle I got for the tutorial.

 

2. Monroe. It's only possible to change the color and wheels, but it has probably my favorite crew color I ever created, modeled after the Miura color Azzurro Mexico.

 

3. Injection. Just a fun vehicle and still one of the better off-road vehicles due to good speed and great stability. I have it in Gulf blue and orange with a big 69 racing number on the sides. (My crew emblem, created only for the Injection.)

Gotta be the OG Futo. I've been a fan since IV and i have owned the very same Futo since 2013 or 2014. Still has those fancy North Yankton plates too from a save editor.

Also mark me down for the Carbonizzare as my OG favorite. I don't remember my first car, but the Carbonizzare was the first one I saved up to buy. Because of this, I consider it to be my first car.
