if you thought you could use steering wheels in vice city:

 

forget it: the pathetic morons advertised that it should be supported, but once the game was out, they simply removed the advertisements (and the sentence on their website).

 

Do they really think this solves the problem?? They better make sure that they... oh f*ck them: even gta3 was intended to support steering wheels on a pc: let's face it:

 

They resolve the problem by.... removing the f*cking "steering wheel sentence" on their website thinking that solves my problem??

 

I bought vice city BECAUSE IT SUPPORTED STEERING WHEELS!!

Calm down, buddy. Vice City is not playable with a steering wheel only. I find it way easier when using the keboard. And don't b*tch at RockStar for not making it steering wheel compatible. Doesn't mean you can't play the game without it. R* came up with a good, polished game, and you should at least show some appreciation for their hard work.

I think a stering wheel is a bad idea & that it would ruin the GTA game by making it more of a racer than a action game

how i would use it

 

the wheel and pedals for driving, and the left right gear levels for left look, right look.

 

The gearbox stick, for leaning up down, the lower left button for shooting, and the right lower button for getting in out.

 

Now when on foot, use the top crosshairs for moving about and hte mouse for looking around and shooting.

 

and springting mapped to the third mouse button.

No dont be a idiot. what is the point of using a stearing wheel when the control pad is better. GTA Vice City aint a racing game dude. Their are websites out there that show the ignorant like you what games you can use them on. When are you going to wake up stering wheels cause hassle in some games.

Hey fledermaus, how many award winning and insanely fun video games have you created? Oh? None? Kinda figured.

Rockstar can't make a game that's perfect for everyone, So they made a mistake, look at all the good in the game. Don't be so pestimistic. Just enjoy the game.

Also, I really doubt your devious plot of "bombarding" Rockstar with e-mails is gonna solve anything. They already tweaked this game enough from requests from GTA3 fans. I'm guessing that a dozen e-mails from a whiny game-fan isn't gonna topple the R* empire. Sorry Buddy.

I've a FF-wheel then playing GPL, LFS, Colin2 etc

I've a Sidewinder2-joystick then playing FS2002, BF1942 and GTA-VC etc.

I tried the wheel in GTA3, but keys are more fun.

If you absolutely want wheel-support, get this tool http://www.deinmeister.de/jct_e.htm.

With this tool/joystick I control the aircrafts in GTA-VC, and sometimes the boats. But, not the cars and walking. The steering-wheel is too slow.
