Honestly, right now, you are the last person to accuse someone of being "mentally on the slower side of the spectrum".

Your original post with your "comparisons" look like ramblings of a madman, a disturbing diary of mental deterioration.

And they only get worse with your cringy use of underlining and BOLD characters.

You won't accept any proof other than your own, you will only find excuses and now you resort to personal attacks.

This whole arguement about the downgrades has gone for a long time, especially in this forum.

You are 3 years late and you bring nothing to the table other than what is already known.

That was very rude.

There is nothing wrong with the comparisons lol, if anyhting they prove that if there was a downgrade then it wasn't really a big deal because it's unnoticable.

Op does bring something to the table. Any evidence of a downgrade i see are the comparisons between 1.00 and 1.07. And since we already know the AO was patched on 1.09, those don't really count anymore.

How about we all put down our guns and try to find the difference between 1.00-1.29 graphical wise? (With some proper evidence of course.)

The only differences I can notice between Version 1.00 and most recent patches is lighting and shadows rendering distance which appears to be lower than before, at least on Xbox One Fat/S version, I don't know about Xbox One X and other consoles versions though, I can easily see shadows popping in and out when entering or exiting Shady Belle through the main road which connects it with Scarlett Meadows.

What stands up for me from a quick look at the barber pic (my humble opinion) :
1.00:Arthur’s face textures along with the lightening of the place and setting look amazingly realistic . His skin looks great , the light is not reflecting on his face .  Around his eyes you can see the darker deeper skin which is perfectly realistic . His lvl1 beard structure looks great and detailed . Face has more detail as well . Around neck you can see the AO working perfectly with the shirt

Patch : Straight outta the wax factory on the road to Madame Tussaud museum . It’s basically like his wax statue for an exhibition. Light falls bad on the face looking like he is sweating . Around the eye area looks fake and like made in rdo character creation. Beard structure isn’t as detailed and messy. (Bleached) . His neck is only dark below the chin . No AO inside the shirt collar . Because of the fake brightness .

BTW: You can see the real Arthur in 1.00 how he looks closer to beta . They changed him for another bizarre reason . Like they massacred Marston but they changed Arthur as well .

Can anyone confirm this? A side by side comparison of Arthur's model on 1.00 vs 1.29 would be great.

If you look on the face you’ll note that his lips in 1.00 are fatter . His mouth in patched versions is wider . His face in 1.00 has a bulkier look while patched its  more defined . I’ve posted photos on reddit when playing 1.00 and everyone thought Arthur was overweight but he was just above perfect weight . Also arthur’s scars in 1.00 on the mouth , nose and chin are more distinguishable . Also in patched version the shape around the nose and mouth is more defined . While playing I’ve noticed that Arthur in 1.00 is slightly bulkier too .

i think that is easily explained.

my guess is 1.0 R* didn´t use extra lights at the barber that get placed, but added them in a patch.

R* uses a lot of these lights.
especially in cutscenes.

my guess they just wanted for the player to see the face more clear.
you can also see those extra lights placed when going to a butcher for example.
you will notice how when it´s dark, it´s like a random bright light appeared.
but disappears when you close the sell or buy menu.

same with the wardrope and such.

Lmao, if Arthur's model remained the same then some of you definitely have a placebo effect going on. I've already seen 3 different people saying Arthur looked more like his beta counterpart in 1.00.

Please don’t mention the placebo effect again . It reminds me of Uncle’s lumbago lol .

They’ve decreased the volume of the lights in towns and the volume of the player’s lantern after 1.00 to increase performance (for the sake of online) . The saloon’s lights are the same , what you see in the patched version is fake brightness or something . It results in faded textures . Anyway , what I mention in the pics is there , if you don’t see it it’s whatever boys.

Btw I know where you’ve seen it and it’s actually me and the guy you’ve seen who started the discussions about it . So no , I didn’t read it on the internet , I found out myself along with the dudes .

There are some minor differences between version 1.00 and 1.29, which is quite obvious actually. Some may call them a downgrade and some may call them an upgrade. I still believe 1.00 is the best version for single-player experience, even if it's flawed.

The game is now being modeled for online performance. Every new patch is a step torwards this goal. I find hard to believe that R* is worried about improving or at least not damaging the single-player mode. They couldn't care less about it.

that is what i mean.
they add a fake light when you enter the barber chair.

while in 1.0 they didn´t.
that was just how i wanted to explain how he looked way brighter.

i didn´t try to argue against it, i just wanted to provide a explanation on why it is

So I have loaded the Motherhood cutscene from the base files (proof shown below), it does appear the PC base files still uses the broken cutscene files. There's nothing I can do to fix this unless someone knows how the cutscenes work. They appear to work much differently compared to GTAV and all the files are currently hashed. We'd need tools to fix it but that's likely never happening as people prefer to focus on a 8 year old game these days.

Either that or people are keeping the tools needed for themselves because the modding community for rdr2 is like that which is pretty annoying

Comparison of trees between 1.02 and 1.29 in the exact same mission replay of Good Honest Snake Oil. Note that the time of day is clearly different.

I switched to Xbox Series X and I’am on Version 1.00 and the trees draw distance is like version 1.29 in your video. What is going on here?

Here is the picture:

This is version 1.00 on the Xbox Series X

Can anyone check this on their Xbox One X or Xbox Series X, as well please?

Edit: I just restarted the game and suddenly the trees are there and the game looks MUCHHHH BETTER OVERALL. Wtf is going on here???

It’s like it’s switching between version 1.29 and 1.00 and i didn’t even update wtf??? Even Arthur’s lower lip beard is fixed, when the trees are gone. It’s like my Xbox is switching between Version 1.00 and 1.29 without me even having updated the game.

Does anyone have an idea? I need High IQ answers please

Not so hard to figure it out. You're playing 1.00 which is the best version of the game. No downgrades. 10/10. Perfection.

Must be an Xbox only issue. Xbox version is a bit more buggier overall compared to the PS version.

You can set it to 1080p on ps4 pro and the blur is gone. It only appears if you set supersampling on or play in 4K
