MisterGee Posted May 20, 2003 Share Posted May 20, 2003 Okay, I'm stuck on Death Row (after you save Lance) and the mission where the voodoo chick sends you to recover her "powders" before the cops get to it. I can't seem to survive those attacks when people are coming at me from all directions. Anyone have any tips? Do you get out of the car and shoot at them? AxER Posted May 21, 2003 Share Posted May 21, 2003 For DeathRow some people suggest using a helicopter and landing it on the unmanned side of the barn/garage in which Lance is in. This has worked however it requires a certain amount of luck and pioliting skill. I am a confident and great Helicopter piolit however it DOES require luck to be able to land in a hail of bullets. What I suggest is getting a fairly big vehicle a Rancher of 4x4 of some desricption even a Mac truck from the docks. get close to the gate but not close enough that the men can see you and pick them off with the sniper rifle, if you have a rocket laucnher use that. Failing that ram through the front lot of men with your vehicle. A lot of people find the six shooter the best gun to use I used several different ones but this is up to you. After having rammed through the gate hope out the vehicle and use it for cover it will eventually explode so be careful, sometime you can use it as a bomb to take out the bad guys. You do not have to kill everyone at the gate, now make a mad dash for the barn. The six shooter kills with one shot but you can't run with it how you choose to take out the bad guys is up to you. Run into the barn and kill all except lance (obviously) walk up to lance and wait for the movie to finish. Once the movie is finished duck down and wait for people to start running in the door, blow them away as they come in. Once you think it is safe enough (it will never be perfectly safe) run out the door and back towards the gate on a left hand angle you should run into a parked garbage truck. Now you and Lance have to drive to the hospital except there are three or four Comets fulled with ganters coming after you. Don't worry the garbage truck is strong, what I did is go to the front of the stadium where the little road goes around in a circle, continue going round in a circle and hitting the porches every chance you get making sure to keep away from them when they explode, this shouldn't take long and your truck will be relativley unharmed. Now you can safely take lance back to the hospital. Vola. As for the stupid old Aunty Polet don't attack anyone just run. Run and run and run and get the packages. Sleep with a hooker and get ammo for extra health your bound to take a few bullets. I don't mean run literally use a car as often as you can although don't spend time looking for one, if you can't access one easily just run. Hope that helped. But your tips also raise some other minor questions that I've yet to answer... like where do you find a helicopter (a good guess might be the airport) and/or a rocket launcher? I've also still never been able to lure any hookers into the car. I've tried a sportscar, pulled up to the curb, honking the horn... they just keep on walking. The only place I can think of at the moment to get the heli is if you buy the Hyman Condo, theres a hunter on top once you've bought the condo. Rocket Launcher...actually I don't remember using one in the mission it was just a suggestion but I don't know where to aquire one until later on either. Sorry. As for the hookers make sure you don't have a convertable, they might hope in but they won't do the bouncy bouncy. It doesn't have to be a flash car just get any old bucket of bolts like a Washington or something and cruise around. I find the best place is near the Hyman Condo...theres that road that backs onto the area where the bike track is, and an alley that runs behind the buildings on that road backing the bike track. If you drive around there slowly and stop near the hookers, you don't always need to honk the horn. Be paitent sometime they will take their time wandering around to the window and it will appear as if their not interested, just wait for them to be standing near the window because sometimes they don't lean over. As you reach the entrance of the Junkyard you'll come under a hail of bullets drive right into the blockade and your car will begin to catch fire 2. Hop out and run away it will explode taking 6 to 7 men with it 3. From there it should be easy to take out the rest of the men in the compound with an assault rifle 4. StonedGorilla Posted May 25, 2003 Share Posted May 25, 2003 What I did was get a sniper rifle, first snipe out those 2 guys going into the garbage truck, then snipe everyone else, run up and get lance, then you get into the garbage truck. TiTaN_KGB Posted May 25, 2003 Share Posted May 25, 2003 i had a funny moment at the end: As i was driving with the garbage truck, i nearly got to the hospital, and was approching hte blue marker, and had thiese comets around me, so i stopped, and lance got out and it took me to a cutscene, but in the cutscene, lance is on the hood of a burning porshe, which later explodes, passing the mission and setting my truck on fire, and killing me. When you go to the second island via the north bridge you end up "downtown" Just as you crossed the bridge to your right is the entrance to VCN. (left is a passage with stairs leading down to the road which runs south along the second island, the bank, cherry poppers, etc) Enter it and you will end up on the roof with.., a VCN helicopter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
