How to let Rockstar know that we need more hairstyles and beards?

NPCs in the car club have many new hairstyles and beards. Why can't they join the barber shop and provide them to players?

Basically this, yeah - and "good luck" indeed, because people tried making a fair amount of noise about this sort of thing years ago (and IIRC, the relevant folks at R* were aware of it), and ...well, the (lack of) results speak for themselves. :turn:

Realistically, unless R* decides to add upgraded hairstyles to the next-gen version, don't expect things to get better any time soon - after all, R* hasn't added new beard styles ever (other than as part of the basic options in the 2014 version of the game), and we just got one new hairstyle with Tuners, a full four years after getting just two styles with Gunrunning.

I don't know what to think. There's times when they say "we have loads of ideas on how to build on GTA Online going forward" or similar to the same extent, and then there's times when they say "we need your feedback and idea submissions". And many times they don't even listen.
Ahh well, bah humbug.

I seriously hope they add the option to go completely bald in E&E. I've been trying to make my character look like Max Payne from the third game, but the close shave simply won't cut it (pun very intended).

Haha. Remember though the consoles will have Expanded & Enhanced before the PC version will (from what's being said or not said) and it's more than just graphical improvements; Rockstar's already mentioned that there will be speed enhancements available for some vehicles when E&E launches, and seeing as Rockstar hasn't even referenced the PC version in their last couple or more articles that mention E&E, it's possible that the PC version is delayed, isn't coming, or is no longer being advertised for E&E for whatever other reasons.

I get the feeling it might be a similar situation to the 2014 XB1/PS4 Definitive Edition of 2013's Tomb Raider, where the improvements were mostly things that brought it into line with the existing PC version, but there were also things that didn't get retroactively added on PC.

Most noticeably, the Definitive Edition added TressFX hair physics, just like on PC - but on top of that, Lara got a new, more detailed model, which (as far as I can tell) hasn't ever been added to PC, which still uses the same one as the PS3/Xbox 360 release:

So similarly, it wouldn't be out of the question for R* to target something comparable to PC for the re-release, but with new features on top - things that may not make it to PC, because it might be that it's just easier incorporate them into a fresh build of the game, instead of trying to bolt them on to the PC build that's already released and online. For example, what if R* updates character models/customisation again, like in 2014? That's the kind of thing that makes sense as a feature for a new build (because you just need to import save data over, and it gets converted to fit the new settings - probably with the option for players to tweak things to their liking afterwards), but more of a headache to automatically apply every player's settings on PC to a new character creator system - it's a recipe for a whole lot of screwed-up characters, and a bunch of (understandably!) frustrated players!

New hairstyles and beards might happen, but don't expect anything detailed like waist-lenght hairstyle and lumberjack hipster beards for this current gen version of Online.

E&E is right around the corner and this current version of Online will be abandoned sooner or later(base consoles versions of this sh*tshow are already showing many technical problems with FPS and pop-ins, just like last gen did) anyway, so probably expect it for E&E only.

You know the outrage that's going happen if the pc version is the less version?

If these hairstyles are not included day one in Expanded & Enhanced on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S then they are never coming.

The new release is also the last possible chance for any kind of new content in single player, even if it's just DLC vehicles from 2016-2021 in traffic.

At this point I don't know why Rockstar don't go the "Valve way" and put community content in the game.

For the ones that don't know, Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2 have workshops where contributors can send files; then players are able to vote, and if selected: Weapon Skins, Character models, Clothing items and Maps are added to the game pool of customizations, and the creators get a share of the sales made with real money. To this day, Rockstar have more and more people joining FiveM, so why not having a Workshop with customizations and vehicles?

The benefits are that only Rockstar approved items would be in the game so no modifications that can compromise the game itself, the fairness of play or even the overall visual quality and art style.

Constant flow of fresh content like: Clothing, Hairstyles, Guns, Liveries, Vehicles, interior decorations and basically any modification voted by the community and sanctioned by Rockstar.

Rockstar could share with the creators any Shark card revenue used to buy this type of content, more content means more money for everyone.

Community made updates where a thing for example in TF2 where the members of the community worked together with the developers to bring content that have more manpower behind it, and would not be achievable with the Devs alone otherwise.

The tunnables system could be refined to deliver small content without the need of major updates and unnecessary big file transfers.

Members of the community that have items approved get unique versions or the said content to distinguish them and reward them for the good work.

Letting the community design items and content sounds good in principle. But you still have to test the content the community made, you still have to translate the content into the different game versions (as in language and platforms). And then there's still the biggest hurdle of all, this hurdle being the legal side. Because the devs have to make sure the designed content is 100% made by the community and not a design or whatever ripped off from somewhere else. Otherwise you get situations like the Howl in CSGO, some skins in R6 Siege, the paid mod fiasko of Bethesda and Valve with Skyrim and a few others.

Because most modders just port Sims 4 assets and call it a day. Almost none of them take into consideration clipping issues or variants for hats. Same for clothing, if you have used pc mods you know these clothes have inconsistent sizes and almost zero compatibility, so in order to implement a new piece they'd have to create torso variants for every possible combination + variations for gloves.

This is also ignoring that TF2 and CS:GO became clusterf*cks with their customization to the point many people downright hate it. I really doubt any good can come out of player-made textures and all the filters needed for that

I mean GTAO is also a clusterf*ck in regards to customization and a lot of other things. And people also hate the constant crap of military gear, sh*tty low resolution textures and copy paste stuff.
