Sparrow is worse than oppressor mk2 for cayo perico.

which prep requires you to navigate "tight spaces"?

btw cayo perico is for bums, autoshop missions is where the money is at!

Must suck not to be able to park a small helicopter or go through tight spaces with one.

I see many people claiming that the sparrow is much better than the oppressor mk2 for cayo preps. It is not, and people who claim so just can't resist herd mentality.

It is true that the top speed of the sparrow is greater, but its acceleration is slower, and it is much harder to park and navigate tight spaces with.

All my cayos are done with oppressor mk2. I gather intel, do the kosatka prep, then fast travel to vespucci beach and manually drive the sub into the sand. From there I do all preps with the mk2. It always ends up falling from the sub, but that's not a problem, just jump down in the sand and get it.

Takes me 50 minutes to do the heist consistently. People who promote the sparrow often take over an hour.

In sparrow's defense, it is good for traveling from the sub to the location of the plane in the gather intel mission (after fast travelling first to save time). But that's about it. Oppressor mk2 ftw.

The quintessential n00b post.

it isn't necessary to buy a mk2 if you bought a sparrow first, especially considering the 5 million+ dollar paywall plus nightclub setup the thing requires to become upgraded. The time saved by the Mk II is menial once you've learned the sparrow well, too. Flying the thing under the bridge really isn't that hard. A bit slower? sure. But not hard at all.

but honestly, I just don't use the Mk II because I actually like to have fun in my video games

I will agree with using the Mk. II for the plasma cutter though, sparrow gets shredded if you don't time killing the reinforcements well enough

I like to use an armored car for that one or a tank cause I need to make the professionals suffer lol.

I favor the Deluxo over both, the MK2 is just too much an abomination to use when it's not neccessary (it has its merits for Doomsday and Casino preps though).

Imagine using the Oppressor Mk II. :kekw:

How much time do you waste beaching your submarine? You should have it at the docks anyway to get the much quicker weapons prep and be closer to the Longfin drop-off. Then if you get the other preps near Vespucci beach, you relocate the sub. 50 minutes are rookie numbers.

Well, sparrow doesnt fall off sub so i don't need to park it on the beach, i can just land it inside.

furthermore it takes me rougly 15 minutes to do all the setups with the sparrow.

third, if i see opmk2 , i shoot it down, f that thing.

We are actually debating this? Cool.

They both have their pluses and minuses. If you don't own either and are buying the sub, I'd suggest to get the Sparrow first. Mk II can be quicker on SOME preps but price to obtain it if you don't already own is substantial. Me, I usually end up using a mix of both, depending on which mission and what is most convenient: Sparrow is better on the scope out, weapons, and safe code, Mk II is better on the plasma cutter, fingerprint cloner, and cutting tool. Although really either of them is fine to use for anything if you know what you are doing. And I never waste time beaching my Kosatka; as ambi3nt described, you can use the Mk II on the ocean without losing it if you are just a bit careful.

Opinions are like a**holes, everyone is married to one and divorce is financially impractical due to the current economy making it impossible for a single income household to survive....

Sorry, went off topic there. Anyway, the point is everyone has their own preferred methods for doing the setups. If yours involves beaching your sub like whale in Oregon, more power to you.

clinical oppression

Sparrow is quicker but ill call for op 2 for Rockford hills plasma cutter .....thats it . Also you can land op2 on the sub then quickly return it so it don't fall in the ocean

Everyone knows the real money is going behind the car meet, shooting all the NPCs for the $10-30 they each have, going into the car meet to avoid the cops and going back out to repeat.

Lol, who gives a flying f*ck.

From one who enjoys using the Dinghy to get to/from the sub while cruising around in cars to plod missions. I by far prefer the Sparrow, but really just don't like flying unless necessary. But that 'bike'? f*ck that piece of sh*t. Clown toy. 🤣

honestly, i just switch it up. i wonder why some people here hate or find the oppressor laughable. why? because some people grief with it? it's still cool to be able to fly really precise with it. good for finding secrets. do i find it unfitting for a game like gta? sure, since it's incredibly unrealistic, but whatever. hoping this won't happen for gta 6, but eh.. who knows.

why is everyone so obsessed with doing this super fast anyway? unless you're a speedrunner, i don't see the point. just try to enjoy the missions, and if they become repetitive, try different approaches, or even better, different games, or even better, real life activities.  :p

I agree with you, except weapons, you can't park the sparrow on top of schlongberg sachs properly

When I use the Sparrow and get the office building mission, I park it on the street (after quickly nuking the guards on the ground) and enter that way, rather than the roof. But the real benefit of it is during the 8 out of 10 times that you get the Merryweather mission. The Sparrow is faster over distance than the Mk II and absolutely none of the spots you have to go to do that mission are anywhere convenient, especially if you don't want to bother to move your sub.

Each have their uses on certain preps.

The Sparrow is best for the dreaded Merryweather HQ mission that has you flying to the other side of the map. I use it to just fly past the Valkyrie and scan for the mission area in the three areas it usually spawns and kill everyone before the Valkyrie arrives and of course use it to make the long trek back to the Submarine.

Its also good for the gathering intel mission as well as the smuggler plane is always somewhere in Blaine County. The Sparrow is without a doubt quicker to get you to where the smuggler plane is faster.

It's not about the size, but how you handle it.

SlipperyPete

Is the Sparrow easier to control than the Buzzard? I just hate this Buzzard. And I know after a lot of practice I MAY be able to complete a Headhunter (yeah,I know it is the easiest thing you can do-but not for me!)

1) Any way to change the damn color of the missile box? I usually don't see it until it turns red (and that is usually focused on a cop). I can't see this little white box. Especially since I cant make the thing hover or stay still for 2 seconds.

2) I hear the Sparrow defaults to wanting to fly up. That would be better. I have to constantly click click click with my arthritic finger to keep the Buzzard from smashing into the ground.

I know I suck at this, but there has to be a better way
