Loading problems, help needed

So in the last three days GTA on my PS5 has gone from working fine to hanging indefinitely at 90%.

 

So far I’ve tried:

Loading into single player; I actually had to disable the internet connection in order to even try it as with the internet on it auto loads into online and wouldn’t recognise me pressing the button to switch to single player during the initial stages of loading.

 

moving the game from external to internal storage

 

deleting the game save and downloading the backup from the cloud

 

deleting the entire game and reinstalling from disc 

 

So far I’ve had absolutely no success, and I’d appreciate any help or advice from anyone who might have encountered something like this before.

Eventually found a solution, but it was a pain in the hoop.  If anyone else ever gets stuck like this I’ll go into it.
