I recently saw a video that showed another method of removing lag from gta iv using a tool called dxvk. i tried it out for the first time and it worked really well! no lag no stuttering ETC.. after awhile i had just unintalled gta iv because i had a bug that wouldnt go away and then i reinstalled gta iv. when i try to use dxvk now the game will flicker black and when i load into the game the entire screen is black and i will see the map rader and hud appear for a short second and dissappear, it keeps flickering. i have tried everything  like seeing if my gpu supports vulkan (it does) and restarting my PC. deleting dxvk and then reinstalling it, deleting gta iv and reinstalling it, but nothing. the dxvk wont work anymore. the weird thing is that my EFLC also has dxvk but that works still. does anyone know how to fix this? i tried looking for methods on the forums and youtube but it seems that if you have this error then you just live with it..

i fixed it! i just used d9vk which works a lot better than dxvk. download it here: Release Version 0.40.1 - Croakacola Zero 🥤0️⃣🐸 · Joshua-Ashton/d9vk · GitHub

yes it does and d3d9 now worked. thx

What are the instructions to using it in the game? Is it just putting all the files in the game folder or what?

Just drag and drop the "d3d9.dll" and "dxgi.dll" file from the x32 folder to GTA IV's directory - that's all there is to installing it.
