Can never remember the names but there are two cards that are useful, one will heal you when you aren't taking damage and the other will boost heal you when you kill an enemy.

A Moment To Recuperate (Dead Eye ability) and Cold Blooded.

EDITED - Strange Medicine heals you as you deal damage

Also, another thing for y’all to look out for and weren’t aware about but watch out for enemy snipers during later waves. They can easily be spotted though (their radar blip flashes white at times) and you can see the sniper bloom from a distance so you can tell whose using a sniper rifle. I found playing with the radar on screen in its “expanded” option to be helpful as well.

You also get an audio cue, it sounds like a heartbeat and will stop when the line of sight is broken.

While the addition is good, it's too little, too late.

I'll give them credit where credit is due, but that doesn't mean they are off the hook. 😉

The last update was a hit and a miss for me and I don't hold a whole lot of hope for any of their future endeavors, I'm being completely honest about that. In retrospect it is rather sad that I am excited for something that is a few years too late, speaks for how low this game has fallen.

But I love survival maps, from the ones in Resident Evil to the crazy ones in Gears of War, I just love having to fight it out with enemies who just keep coming. 😁

Paint-it-Black - Strange Medicine - Cold Blooded - Eye for an Eye
This is a good build if you consistently get headshots

No tonics needed for the first 5-6 Blackwater waves.
I did need a handful of both health and dead eye tonics in the last 3 waves.

I finished most of Wave 10 by myself while on street level, the build works if you either have decent cover or keep moving.

I like Quite an Inspiration for dead eye. It builds health and taking damage doesn't stop it, for you and your allies.

I know it heals posse members, but I wonder if it heals Call to Arms NPC allies.

Gotta say, Call to Arms is pretty damn fun. Definitely a worthy time sink. I like the way the AI companions work too, if we can get AI followers or AI camp companions etc. then we’ll really be cooking with gas

At this point, the game can only give me short bursts to enjoy, adding these is good, but not game changing.

If, a big if mind you, they keep adding more requested things and pump things out a bit quicker once GTA E&E has arrived, then I'll look back on this being the start of something good and have more faith. But it's hard to shake the first 3 years so far.

Yeah, I'd like my camp dog and Cripps to not just ignore the 4 pronghorn standing in my camp, while I'm out doing all the work...

From the news wire:  "Remember to keep your eyes peeled for lockboxes and stashes — you might find more Capitale than usual while out committing Crimes"

Has anybody actually experienced finding more than usual?  I can't say I have.  The missions I have done have had the same capitale amounts as before, and looting bodies (other than the NPC's that should have them) have produced nothing for me.

^did see that notification aswell, and during a rival camp encounter in lagras I went looking for crates n sh*t, but the only one around had nothing in it.

my character even shrugged, iirc, as it was empty. can't say I've seen a reaction like that before?!

I won't be playing this mode very often, maybe never again.

It can be fun, with or without friends, but it's just mindless slaughter.

I'm already bored of it... would rather have story missions than this.

I have found quite a few, looting non blood money content. More than usual.

I was wondering, do we get a reduced payment if we don't make it to wave 10?

Yes.  You will get paid reduced amount. The farther you go, the more you get.

Anybody know if we get gold/money if we reach for instance level 6 and lose?

Or you have to finish in order to gain exp/gold?

Edit: sorry i didn't check the previous post!

So let me get this right, R* won't add the ability to have our camp dogs follow us despite it being one of the most requested features and yet they add the exact same ability to allies in Call to Arms? Aim at the person and press a button and they follow you and do the same to get them to wait.

R* come on now...

That is true! Remove the rolls and the game is kinda empty!

Never liked Paint it black but used it to do dailies. Focus Fire comboed with a shootgun kills the tin men in five shoots. The problem is that many cards we have is buffed towards PvP and not PvE! Would like more melee and bow cards but that is a whole other topic!

I only use PiB for PvE. It does take getting used to
Focus Fire works real well, no doubt

Agree we could use 5-10 new cards. Would be good to get new options for approaching combat.

Call To Arms is a fantastic mode, but it’s useless without proper matchmaking. Is there a quick join option for it? I don’t care which map, I just want to play with other human beings.

So far, I haven’t died once in the new Call To Arms modes (just waiting on that machete guy to catch me one time). I try my best to 110% my zone of bandits and most if not all are gone my side so I can restock/health up the allies quicker. Other players love to Rambo and charge the bandits though. Saw one guy get rezzed right in front of me.

I was in a crap spot for the majority of a match and noticed others were getting more kills than me. “Nice, gonna be an easy 3 bars” Ah I totally jinxed myself on that one. As waves got progressively tougher, my kill count passes others. Then slowly as wave 7 and 8 came, they each died somehow, still watching one run around in the streets, maybe giving up? Anyway wave 9 comes, after about of minute of intense fire from all sides of the map my 3 teammies die simultaneously and I’m left to solo this mother. “Ok keep a cool head/easy enough for you to say” Conflicted adrenaline, I’m watching the minimap fill like pox with tiny red dots swarming my position. Swinging back and forth between shotgun and rifle, I’m fumbling to waste the OP juggernauts, spinning like a dancer and grabbing a quick tonic. Slowly I catch a breather in-between the chaos and the pressure eases off. I finally clear the camping npcs and the host of the match comes on mic. “Can I play?” Maybe I took a little too long but I was laughing then thinking, “sure if you don’t get yourself killed every wave..?” Dude tipped his hat at me so wasn’t all bad. Wave 10 was a cakewalk after this as everyone just hunkered down for safety.

3 gold EARNED and not so easily passed off. I was hopeful as my team were all rank 200 ish so expected them to be meatheads in battle. I was wrong to assume. Got MVP though which I felt was well earned.

I did a Call to Arms mode by myself.  Somehow I wasn't matched with other players...reached wave 7! it was so intense!

I’ve played four Call to Arms now.

The first time I was put in with 2 other players, it was great.

The other three times I was put in a match on my own. It sucked.

I finally got into a Call to Arms with three other players! But then in wave 9 it bugged out and enemies stopped spawning. We couldn’t do anything but eventually kill ourselves. And then we didn’t get paid anything.

So 50+ minutes of Call to Arms, we never got beaten by the enemies, and we got paid 0 gold bars, $0, and 0 XP. I’m out.

I really like this new mode, but I have only played McFarlane`s ranch once and then Blackwater the rest.

I figured (though I might be wrong) that Blackwater is perhaps the easiest map to complete since you can camp the rooftops and snipe. So for that reason I stick to it for this week since there is a 3x payout. Unfortunately I have been put in solo matches from time to time and I have found that I can perhaps do 6-7 waves on the ground before I have to get up high and camp it out. When I have been playing with others I usually stay on the roof where I can cover 3 sides.
