Did you happen to catch this on video?😜

I don’t stream so no unfortunately. I should have did that quick record thing on my Xbox though.

As for anyone playing the Call to Arms (I’m having fun playing it) I found actually playing with friends or randoms to be enjoyable so far. Quick tip: make sure to heal those “ally” NPCs. They are quite useful shockingly if many are still alive. Have some teammates heal some as well while you are doing so. It honestly from my couple playthroughs has actually been helpful.

Had a good amount of fun playing this with randoms. It's nice to get a great reward out of your time too. Even once the 3x ends it will still be a good reward for ~30 minutes of playtime.

Thank you R* for "finally" handing me something I've been begging for since Beta! 😁

How is that done? Is it the same way you "heal" Cripps or another player? Do you go over to them and there is a "heal" option?

Strawberry was pretty fun and intense when the armored wagons started coming in.

On Reddit a guy said Strawberry is good for if you have to do the thing solo (he said he did from the top of the hotel.)

Yes. The privilege of playing it.

So it's not bad, I was enjoying them with my friends yesterday, but it's not great either....  The payouts when they get to normal will be sh*t and not worth the time spent, so if you do them it should be for enjoyment.  And the WORST part about it is that it is supposed to be co-op, but yet Rockstar decided to make everyone compete against each other seeing that pay is based on the order you finish which is bullsh*t.  I don't like taking $ out of my friends pockets.  Also I can't seem to remember how to shut off the matchmaking, I'm not interested in doing it with randos.

Any way to play these solo? I hate being forced together with a team.

Call to Arms, is pretty damn good. Played MacFarlane Ranch solo (standard) and reached Wave 9, with five enemies to go.  Oh well (back shooting bastard)...

I just opened the Telegram in satchel. Selected Call to Arms and the game loaded solo.

A player just streamed himself doing Strawberry solo. He went thru about 38 tonics.

I have only played one location: MacFarlane Ranch. The gameplan is to take my time playing this mode. Things are getting a little stale? Break glass (Call to Arms) in case of emergency.

38 tonics sounds about right. Wave 1-5, healing allies was crucial to surviving.

I have a question, if all the town people die is the survival over? I havent completed a full game, i usually end around round 6. But i feel like running around healing the townfolk do me more harm than good. I understand they help out a little but id rather not have to worry about them

No.  You just continue on without them.  We just stopped trying to heal them, we found it more useful to ammo up and move other things around in between rounds

I had the easiest time forgetting about the allies on that map and just riding one of the available horses around.  Wave 1-10 with the same horse.  I also noticed that I kept feeding that horse tonics and it didn't take any out of my inventory....Bug I'm sure.

It can only be done when a wave is over unfortunately. But, yes, walk up to them and lock onto them and the heal prompt will pop up. Believe it or not some of these allies are useful. They actually kill some enemy NPCs.

Also, another thing for y’all to look out for and weren’t aware about but watch out for enemy snipers during later waves. They can easily be spotted though (their radar blip flashes white at times) and you can see the sniper bloom from a distance so you can tell whose using a sniper rifle. I found playing with the radar on screen in its “expanded” option to be helpful as well.

I’m definitely taking advantage of this 3X stuff this week for this game mode because we most likely won’t see it again for months. lol

Should I not heal them when playing with a team? I feel like healing them while playing solo would be some what helpful. 🤝

I feel like if I play solo and not have some help I’ll get destroyed in later waves. lol

Your call.  They are helpful.  But after a while we just decided "F' it" and stopped....  But I was also with two friends and a rando each time, so we were fine.   In some of the later waves, if our all of our player teammates were dead, we would find a good hiding place  that you can defend in one direction and camp there.  My friend did 60 something enemies during wave 10 on his own last night because I fell off of a roof and died and his wife was tending to the baby.   What was actually kind of nice, when he got toward the end there were 3-4 enemies left to kill in the wave.  They were all weaponized wagons and snipers, but he didn't have to worry about them because the game sent another wave of ground troops.  Once he killed the 3-4 left match was over, didn't have to clear the wagons or snipers

Has anyone encountered a bug where some NPCs go absolutely ape sh*t after a wave is over and the cool down timer counts until the next wave. They start randomly shooting in the air or at trees or buildings (depending what area you are playing this game mode in).

I was playing Call to Arms in MacFarlane’s Ranch with some randoms and when the wave actually did start BEWARE OF THE EXPLOSIVE DYNAMITE CRATES... an “ally” NPC shot it while trying to shoot at an enemy and a real life player teammate was near it and he died. Damn near fell out my chair laughing.

I saw this with my own eyes last night playing Blackwater with moron randoms. Two of the allies near where I set up kept shooting the walls and the ground during the waves, so I shot the barrels before they could.

that made me think of something: apparently now is the time to make use of those ability cards."strength in numbers" and so on. I might try to go passive all the way not killing any enemies, just patching up all the allies/players. you know, the medic. would that work?!

edit: okay I've just read some comments above,  so you can only heal when a wave is over?! why?!?! boolsh*t!

You can only heal them in between rounds.  The AI that appear as a yellow dot are the ones that need attention

Can never remember the names but there are two cards that are useful, one will heal you when you aren't taking damage and the other will boost heal you when you kill an enemy.

My Set up for player vs computer is dead eye , is paint it black and the others are eye for an eye , strange medicine & clod blooded as this build helps with health and dead eye its the best against computer in my expression

I've played MacFarlane Ranch twice.

First time solo (Wave 9); second time with additional player (town defended). Allies were very helpful both times. I was running around like some kind of Civil War saw bones. Between healing allies and reviving the other guy 4x's.

Please don't thank or praise this troll of a company for adding in something that should have been there since the beta.

While the addition is good, it's too little, too late.

I like Quite an Inspiration for dead eye. It builds health and taking damage doesn't stop it, for you and your allies.
