GTA frame drops

Recommended Posts

Hello if anyone can help me with some tips about the game.So I'm playing FiveM on a american training server and when Im playing my game drops from 180 fps to 30-40 for like a split second it happens like a lot and idk why.I even dropped my graphics to normal and the game still drops frames but I notice that if I turn V-sync on it doesn't do it anymore.Could it be my monitor? Because I'm getting to much fps? My monitor is only 60 Hz and I saw that when I'm playing on the server the pvp areas are in locations so that it provides decent fps,ok the fact that I'm fr Romania and play on an American server of course I am having high ping like 120-150 but I don't think that could affect the fps so hard to drop to like 30-40 and like I said the weird thing is if I turn the V-sync it doesn't do it anymore.I would play with V-sync on but I hate that you have a little delay like when you move your mouse and stuff like that.

- My specs are

- Ryzen 5 3600

- Rtx 2060 super 8Gb

- 16 GB ram

If anyone can help me I would gladly appreciate, and sorry if my English isn't that good I'm from Romania.

There is a bug in the game's engine that makes it stutter and drop frames if it runs over 180fps.

Vsync fixed it for you because it locks the game at 60.

If you want to run GTA V at high framerates, you need to use a frame limiter (I use RivaTuner at 120fps)

Monitors don't usually cause frame issues, they just work, or they don't.
