joel15cat
Yesterday I finally found my last legendary animal to get 100% compendium, the phantom panther, I killed it, skinned it, and brought it to Gus. Today I find that I have not done any of this but I have less rifle munition? wtf 5 minutes passed since I skinned the panther. 5 minutes. I have a video recordered. Caffeination
Weird, usually seeing that “Processing Transaction” revolver at the corner saves your progress to social club, unless naturalist content is bugged, unsurprisingly.

This will get you the saving Symbol. 2.) Dont Close the Game Into Dashboard. Quit the Game via the Options.... 4eyedcoupe, joel15cat and Commander S 2

Another thing that helps trigger a save (like in GTAO) is to swap outfits - so if I want to quit after doing a daily objective, and I want my progress to save, I'll wait a few seconds, do something like feed/brush my horse, swap my current outfit, and then exit the game. If you really want to be thorough, maybe use a fast travel post. And yeah, OP, don't just quit the program straight from Free Roam to your dashboard/desktop - safest thing is to go to the start menu, pick "Story", and then "exit game", like so: Works better than GTAO, frankly (and I hope the next-gen version of GTAV/O comes with a menu option like that) - in GTAO, the best you can do is stow your personal vehicle, maybe go back inside an owned property (garage, apartment, business, whatever), bank any cash you have, and then back out to single-player using the character select wheel, and then quit the program. joel15cat

In GTAO you can force a save by changing an accessory item, such as your sunglasses, from the interaction menu. Commander S

I bet that works in RDO (not tried just changing mask/gloves whatever); in RDO changing your outfit, even from your horse, forces a save. So when i get a cougar/gator/large pelt on the horse I change the outfit and so far they are still on the horse after fast travelling! I'd not risk it with a Legendary, though, I ALWAYS put those in the Hunting Wagon (just remember to skin it first, and put the skin in the wagon, if the plan is to sell it to Gus.)
