XerostarTG
I think we all can agree that RDO is a massive "dropped ball" not necessarily a failure, but it is getting there. I have seen the "Blood Money" stuff, but who asked for discount Don Corleone to be our boss? I harshly think anyone, some will enjoy it, others will adapt/accept it, others might still be let down (though not entirely disappointed). Mafia and Outlaws are two vastly different things; yeah criminals, but they have unique "cultures". In fact they are near opposites: Country vs. City, Vastly Unorganized vs. Strictly Organized, Ruggedness vs. Elegance... I have not played this update (assuming it is out; I do not pay much attention any more), but people wanted bank robberies, train robberies, coach robberies, rustling, etc. Not to be that Italian dude's (forgot his name; forgettable character) side man bitch and playing a 2021 version of the The Godfather game. Things should have been split; three surface level roles, would have sufficed. Vigilante, Outlaw, and Mobster (I think lawman would work out to well by this point). If R* had decided to just not say "hey, lets include characters from RDR2's story" (which is pretty much just Sean, The Watson Mother, and Malloy; only one being significant due to proper content); this Online would likely be set in 1909; a perhaps prime year to set this thing in. You would still get nostalgia characters (Bonnie, Shaky, who ever else I never really got into the Strangers) and you could have put John in for farm helping missions and Uncle for booze stealing; an alive Armadillo with perhaps the Marshall, Tumbleweed storyline could have been there to fully explain its downfall; actually building something off of RDR2 and connecting the two games, but rather it has been "hindered" by both. Yet again a lot of potential pretty much lost to the fact that R* did not give a single f*ck, at the wrong time to not give a single f*ck. Their ineptitude to be clever and engaging with this game is absolutely ridiculous. kcole4001
They cater to new players almost exclusively. Once you reach a certain point, and this applies to GTAO as well, there is nothing much to do but make more money, or contrive ways to goof around while waiting for something they don't seem capable of delivering: expensive items/properties to give a purpose to the fortunes many of us have amassed. GTA has proven that even after many years there is no dev interest in providing QoL content, merely more ways to make money. I know I'm in the minority in feeling that heists are boring AF, even doing crates is less repetitive, and that's pretty bad. so the payout is better for doing a heist ad nauseum, but if there's nothing worth buying, why bother? I've uninstalled GTA, and barely do a couple of dailies in RDO now for months. The maps are great, yet don't provide a reason to play on their own. The pattern is set, I'm not paying for another greedstar game no matter what it is. The ball has been dropped, and they have no interest in picking it up. I still enjoy story mode in both games, especially rdr2 but online can suck a dick. StyxTx, Rockstarsucks33 and XerostarTG

There is still a lot to shoot for at that level but the grind and pathetic payouts do make it pretty monotonous. 7 hours ago, kcole4001 said: I've uninstalled GTA, and barely do a couple of dailies in RDO now for months. I went in today to see if I could get 9 role dailies done for the first time ever, which I did. Then the rest of the role dailies were locked. I didn't realize they cap how many dailies you can do. So they nerf the gold payout and put a limit on how many dailies you can do? WTF. What's the purpose behind that? This 100%^. Couldn't have said it better. Was just discussing this with my friend- if there is nothing for us to buy, what's the point of doing the missions? I appreciate the update and slightly better newswire posts, but we need stuff to buy ASAP. StyxTx, XerostarTG and kcole4001

For those players who have tons of money R* could do something fun and unique and release some sort of "Vistas of America" update. Allowing players to buy some sort of island or large plot of beautiful land that they have to take care of (and cannot be disturbed in); would give houses, farming/ranching, and peaceful options to the players who have been wanting it. I am glad I have not been paying attention, I heard things were supposed to get better, but I am glad I kept this game at more than an arms length. Honestly this is just over, for recurring/continuous players. StyxTx, kcole4001, Direwrath and 1 other

About all I use it for is to ride around and relax, maybe do some small stuff like hunt or fish, when I'm too tired to play any of my other games. What's the purpose behind that? The choice of which 9 to do is a good feature, and you can manage to work the system to get 10/9 a fair amount of the time, and possibly even 11/9 (I've never done 11), but yeah the limitation is there to keep gold earnings down. Also forcing yourself to play according to the requirements of doing dailies in a set order (to get 10/9) takes the casual feel away, which really puts me off the game now. I rarely bother unless I'm really feeling it. I gave up doing any of the pvp/posse dailies long ago, I just have no interest. Back when the streak would give you 0.5 gold per daily it added up pretty quick, and the bonus for getting 7/7 & 9/9 was 1.5 gold (3X the daily payout). Now it's barely worth the effort, and then only on the last week of the 4 week streak (and maybe the 3rd @ 0.2 gold each). Back last year, before I had a real fortune, I never used fast travel. That made for more immersion, and more immersion made the game's appeal last much longer for me. I realized from the start there would be a long road to ride before anything major would be added, so I took it relatively slow and still made a ton of money and gold. Grinding in GTA was more than enough of that style for me, and I resolved to not do that any more. It turns out there was basically no point to that in GTA either, and it's been going for 8 years, so the future looks pretty bleak for RDO. It's always sad to see such potential wasted. Apparently happy customers/fans don't make a decent profit any more, at least in the gaming world. BUT THE BENZ
that's what happens when you destroy half the company, when you decide to rush to other, "projects", and when you know more about yoga than gaming! in the end, let's blame STRAUSS!
