Misa.And.Her.Hubby
Hi outlaws, I'm thinking about buying a black or white Arabian. I don't mind paying gold. But imo that white Arabian looks better. So here are my questions: 1) Is the difference on stamina neglectable if I use Nacogdoches saddle and hooded stirrup? 2) Aside of stamina and health bars, is there any other difference between the two? p.s. My current horses include a light grey Gypsy Cob and a white Shire, both with Nacogdoches saddles. Thanks. Direwrath
Honestly both of them are going to be a strong bet, and with that saddle/stirrup combination you probably won't notice much of a difference between the two coats. Behavior wise, it's always going to be a hit and miss. I've got five Turkoman horses in my stable and each one of them seems to behave a bit differently than the others. Some players swear by their little brave Arabians though. My experience was that the Arabian is quick but not overly fast, they spook far more easily than any other breed I have owned, but you can make a long distance run with one in good time without having to slow often to let your horse recover. Caffeination
Well, you use the Nacogdoches primarily for the speed boost, although the stamina drain is a good bonus. The saddle’s 50% stamina drain, coupled with the hooded stirrup 35% stamina drain, nets 85% stamina drain. With it equipped, you can ride across all of New Austin without calming the horse down. In the end, it’s an aesthetic choice. You clearly won’t use the Arabian for PvP, and the Nacogdoches eliminates any concern about stamina. If I can make my Dapple Blue Roan Nokota work with that saddle, so can you with a white Arabian, which you clearly have a preference towards. zPhoenix
TBH the Arabians are far too skittyish to be worth using. But stamina/speed are by far the most important characteristics of a horse after not being skittysh, so if you are going to go for an arabian as your first "top quality horse" go for the black. If you have other good horses and want the pretty white even if it is not a stable horse go for it. I own 4 top horses and my favorite due to its behavior is the top Mustang, a horse that according to its stats is not even supposed to qualify as top horse. And it even looks cool/unique. It rarely gets spooked and between saddle, stirrups and trinkets it became virtually super-stamina, running everywhere at max speed and never becoming exhausted. I no longer even look at the stamina indicator.
