Luis Vercetti
this also is applying to gta 3 aswell. anyway in gta vice city there is a "widescreen" option in the game. though its broken i noticed that the huds aspect ratio dont change. the huds are 4:3 and the game is 16:9 when i use the widescreen fix mod the entire games aspect ratio is fixed to 16:10 and also hud alignment is fixed. how ever the annoying thing is that if you play the game a slightly lower resolution the huds start glitching a bit because the aspect ratio of the huds is also changed in the widescreen fix. is there anyway to change the aspect of the huds without changing the rest of the games aspect ratio. examples gta vice city original widescreen: https://photos.app.goo.gl/UVCwmTMQPds4D5fV7 vice city mod widescreen fix: https://photos.app.goo.gl/JpjZAnbvncT3GB1w7
GhettoJesus
Go to your Vice City folder and open GTAVC.Widescreenfix.ini. Find ForceAspectRatio and FrontendAspectRatio and you can override the default values there just in case something doesn't match. Further below you will find HudWidthScale, HudHeightScale, RadarWidthScale and SubtitlesScale. You can change how these elements are scaled. As the file states, setting them to 0.0 will restore them to their original values. You should mess around with the values to fine tune your scaling if setting the proper aspect ratio doesn't work. Furthermore, ResX and ResY are set to 0. If you plan to change the resolution in the game you should set these values from 0 to -1, otherwise your resolution changes won't be saved. Hope this helps.
