Unspoken OH
Dutch's character is incredible. I was playing RDR2 and the part where Dutch kills Mr. Bronte is...holy hell. It was horrifying. We all know GTA5's acting performance is top notch in its entirety, but this game puts acting to a whole new level. I've seen some great movies in my life but RDR2 tops them all. When Mr. Bronte offers the gang $1K to take Dutch out and set him free, but gets nothing but a moment of silence while the gang is looking at Mr. Bronte...it gives me the chills. Then Dutch asks "What are you gonna say now?" with that cold look in his eyes... and that music kicks in....incredible, just incredible, incredible, incredible. Then Dutch goes "Oh yeah, you're right, you're SO right" (responding to Mr. Bronte's desperate threats), the way Dutch says this, you can tell he's a true sociopath, you can tell he's about to murder you, you can tell he means what he says. He makes Trevor Philips look soft (this is coming from a die hard GTA5 fan). "They are good at smelling filth, huh? So filth....has got to be....DISPOSED OF!" I'm blown away...I am impressed by this level of acting; and not just Dutch but all of them. I don't know what to say. $60 well spent I guess. I know most of y'all have played through the story, probably multiple times and this is nothing new to y'all but I really just wanted to let this out. I had to. I had to let everybody know that I am impressed by this acting performance, visuals and music. Incredible. Alexlecj
Dutch is in my opinion the best non-protagonist character (and betrayer towards the protagonist) that R* ever created. I like how each chapter antagonist highlights one of Dutch's traits. Dutch and Cornwall share a ferocious appetite for money. Both Grays and Braithwaites see themselves as an eternal presence, and Dutch thinks no different of himself or his ideals. Bronte is condescending towards Dutch, the same way Dutch is condescending towards the plantation families. By chapter 6, Dutch is a failed leader that seek war and can't stand disloyalty - just like Colonel Favours. And the gang, led by this man, opposes them all. (PS.:: Sorry about my English, not a native speaker) I don't understand what's wrong with Arthur and John here. Arthur tried to drown a guy in Valentine just because the guy was an annoying drunk. My point is, they have both done just as bad as Dutch, at least Dutch had a god damn plan! wangsparkinglot
