Please tell me it gets harder!

Been playing it for 3 days on and off now and the only mission I didn't do first time was Demolition Man.  Just finished the tank mission and the chopper mission over Prawn Island I am now getting worried.

 

Please tell me it gets harder!!!!!!

Well, you're obviously very good at Vice City! If you've played the ps2 version and completed that numerous times, you won't have problems doing it on PC, more than likely. However, if it's your first time at Vice City, you're just a born gangster... Some of the asset missions are tough; i.e. The Malibu missions should be a test..and the last two Storyline Missions. Getting to 100% is a big test too.

I wouldn't say that.  Having completed and loved GTA3 I would say I have no problems with the controls etc which are indentical but I fear the difficulty has been dummed down.

 

The tank mission was pathetic.  Got in it without any resistance, drove to the garage which, ludicrously, was around the corner - and, even worse, lost my four star rating the minute the mission was over!  Though, to be fair, that used to happen in the later missions in GTA3.

Hmm, I think you're right about the Tank mission. It is quite easy, eh? But, it only seems easy when you do it correct. If you slip up once in that mission, you get creamed!

 

You should be tested almost certainly with the Malibu missions; for one, "The Driver". Very frustrating race-mission where you race against a very experienced Driver. You may also be challenged by the Vercetti Missions....quite tricky.

i got Vice City the other day on PC having hardly any experience on the Ps2 and im finding it O.k in difficulty. The early missions are simple. but at the moment i've just killed Diaz and taken over his House and the missions are getting more difficult and enemies are putting up alot more resistance when i shoot at them .

 

That mission when you have to rescue Lance is real hard too you have to go through about 15 guys just to get to him and then fight your way out.

Try the paramedic missions. I'm so fed up with them, because I usually drive over a patient or flip my ambulance . I try to pass them today.

 

It wasn't that hard on Gta3. I tried to do them in the first island of Vice City.

Try using your PCJ 600 and flying across the shores and ram into a boat and land saftely without you getting injured! How tough!

I agree that it is too easy, luckily there are plenty of missions and stuff to keep you going.

 

The only missions that are challenging are ones where the stupid AI or duff controls get in your way. Like in a melee fight were people are smacking you down and you are shooting as them but the bullets don't do anything  

 

Or then when you are on a job with someone else or they die doing something lame like getting stuck or num over, annoying.

I noticed you get lots of money from the paramedic missions.

Strange I felt that vice was easier then gta3, it was on my first real attempt that I beat level 12 when gta3 took many attempts.

'The Job' pissed me off no end.  When the smoke comes in, I end up shooting my friends, or when I get outside, once Cam and Phil started fistfighting.  Obviously one shot the other or something.  Phil got his arse kicked, and I failed the mission.  When I finally beat it, it was a great feeling.

i passed the paramedic missons the first time i tried, i found it extremly easy.

 

Uhm, i guess im a born ambulance driver and a firetruck driver.

 

But pizza delivery....oh now, i manage to blow it up, get arrested by cops, get shot down.......argh!

i'm finding the game very easy, i've nearly beat it after 20 playing hours total.  the gameplay is the same as GTA3, but i like the fact that there is waaaaaay more stuff to do, more missions in general.  i think the key to beating any mission is trying a few different approaches.  so far the mission i've found the toughest is the one where you have to go onto the cargo ship and find the ship master or whatever, and all those darn security guards are attacking.  screwed that one up about six times, finally crashed landed my chopper onto the top deck, found the target, then, at 44% health, jumped right off the ship onto the grass (to 33% health) and got the h3ll out of there

Im not having much luck with the police missions, everytime I kill the criminal I get the damm Cops on me, and then my Cop Car explodes so I nick one of theirs, try to get it to the paint and spray but by the time I get there I have had my wheels shot out, shame   didnt make it so when you are on vigilante missions the police don't go after you.
