bassfreak85
the graphis are amazing its probably the best looking game out along side of assassin's creed and tombraider. that's where things end. the game is SLOW you cant do sh*t without getting bounty hunters on you and they dont come in one or two its 4 or 5. no chance to survive. endless story line that doesn't offer much excitement. All I'm doing is going around collecting debts and doing other peoples choirs. if i had a choice id definitely take my money back and buy assassins creed Valhalla. do something different the GTA series was played out after the 3rd one. last rockstar game ill ever buy.. Lemoyne outlaw
i guess we played different games. the red dead redemption 2 i played had amazing gameplay. and an amazing story with great characters. and one of the best protagonists a video game has ever had. of course the game is not perfect i admit that. but all of your complaints make no sense to me. bounty hunters are super easy to deal with. the game might feel slower. but thats because of its era. there were no super cars or jets in the 1890s. and things were slower back then. im sorry you dont like it but i think red dead is not for you. billiejoearmstrong8
The wanted system does suck. Bad influence from GTA V. But it's supposed to be slow. It's fine if you're not into that but that's just the type of game it is, it's supposed to be immersive and feel realistic for the time period and have a story that takes its time. You are showing us the fact that you are playing wrong, there's tons of robberies in this game, both in missions and free roam. Quote the aiming is terrible the guns suck. The aiming in RDR2 is kinda problematic, but the gun selection is probably one of the best parts best of the game imo, they're just so detailed, powerful sounding and feel so different from each other, I think the only open world game that surpasses it in such aspects is Metal Gear Solid V. Cutter De Blanc
The amount of bounty hunters that show up is based on how big a bounty you've accrued. A fifteen dollar bounty is the lowest they'll come for, and they send two. At $1500 you'll have to contend with nine bounty hunters and three dogs everytime they spawn. Sorry, but that's a cheap excuse imo, if it is set during the decline of an era, it is definitely set around that era, both Redemption games have tons of robbery opportunities on their Free-Roam anyway, especially RDR2. Like how bumping people with your horse, insulting people, defending yourself or just fist fighting etc can easily turn into being wanted. Why did they add the vague crime of "disturbing the peace"? RDR1 didn't have that, only a very clear list of crimes you could choose to commit or not (which did not including defending yourself from an attack). To me that's in the same category as GTA V's getting wanted for standing next to people or people calling the cops on you for talking to them. I don't know why they'd want to bring that overly strict/too easily triggered by accident wanted system sh*t to RDR. It's not terrible but it was needlessly made worse than the previous game's system - and like any bad thing in the game you can think of it comes from GTA V's influence. Yeah, I would say that is the only major flaw the wanted system has, how ridiculously sensitive it is, although I wouldn't even say it is as some make it out to be, I never got a wanted level for defending myself or even meleeing, unless it was one of those situations that I escalated, I also discovered it is possible to not get a wanted level when bumping into people, when said act isn't lethal. Cutter De Blanc
I think Saint Denis is the only place where you get a monetary bounty for disturbing the peace? Mostly if you just stick around after getting wanted for the charge, the cop will tell you to move along, and if you fail to comply THEN you get a five dollar bounty and trouble. You can tell if you got a cash bounty on you as soon as you get wanted by tapping the HUD button. If you're wearing a mask while committing any crime except train robbery witnesses won't be able to ID you (unless you put it on in front of them), and whatever bounty you get will go to Unknown Suspect. All lawmen can ID you with a mask on though. I think a lot of people don't know how to use the mask effectively. Kind of funny when you get the whole Saint Denis police force chasing you and gunning people youre hiding behind down all for a fifty cent bounty though. Those cops need to switch to decaf Edited July 28, 2021 by Cutter De Blanc The Tracker

smokeless6
There's no accounting for taste and it's OK if someone finds the game not to their taste. It's not a personal attack on those who do like it. If he thinks it's slow and boring that's OK. I happen to think it may be the best PC game ever made. So who is right? Who cares? Not me. About the bounty system.... the only thing I don't like is the spawning. Makes it impossible to sneak through a state where you are wanted with careful route planning and scouting ahead. I only wish the bounty hunters were persistent entities, patrolling, but not able to spawn right next to you, and then I could catch all the legendary fish! The other night I was playing and was in St Denis, and walked up on a dominoes game or similar. Close by was a kitty cat, and I decided to pet the cat. I pet just about every dog I come across and wanted to spread it around. But instead of hitting G, I hit F and kicked it dead. The mayhem that followed was way out of proportion to the mistake that led to the cat's demise. It was just a typo friend! But the townsfolk cared not. I went to run but somehow ended up grabbing one of the domino players and had him down on the ground choking him. Shots soon followed and well, a grisly trail in my wake. The escalation of the initial transgression was madness, but memorable. Remember that time I kicked the cat? It's a yarn worth spinnin' Buddy Hightower
