For best chances that the devs would find it desirable I recommend following these basic rules: - Keep the suggestion simple and clear. Preferably things that are small and easy to implement. - Do not turn this into a complaints thread. Avoid complaining. Just present what you suggest and why. My initial item for the wishlist: - Display a progress bar visible on screen at all time for timeouts/progress, for the duration of the action, and sticky messages that are visible until handled. Multiple progress bars/messages would be possible. Optional to implement - let the user state in the settings which bars they want to see (as long as they are active). Examples: (1) Moonshine progress bar. If it is onscreen you can do things and don't need to return to the shack to find out when the moonshine batch will be ready. (2) Moonshine mission timeout bar. Lets you know how much longer until you can do another mission. (3) Naturalist upset timeout bar. Simple enough, how much longer until Harriet will pay attention to you. Krommer Posted July 25, 2021 Share Posted July 25, 2021 Saving the selections of items, meat, etc. on the item wheel from sessions and when loading into/out of solo sessions/missions. Sometimes into, then again out of, I have to go and switch to potent health, potent stamina and potent snake oil. Then I have to switch from whatever food it is on to Minty Big Game. It happens when going into showdowns/whatever sometimes too, then again sometimes when LEAVING such things. It remembers that I have bolt rifle, bow and a pistol and revolver at the top (as well as the ammo, between sessions) in the weapons but not the items. If it can do it with weapons, it should be a simple thing to do it with items. This has been my #1 "utility quality of life" request since Online began. Agreed on the Moonshine/Trader Delivery progress indicators as well (toggle to shut off too, if someone doesn't like.) Danish Crusader Posted July 25, 2021 Share Posted July 25, 2021 -Being able to use the old controls. -Able to store melee weapons, old lasso etc. Basicly being able to store every single item on the weapon wheel if you wanted. -Be able to remove saddles from horses to make them inactive. -Able to favorite food/drink to make them appear on the front of the list so you don't have to flip through 97 items to get to the item you want. -Hat to appear on minimap like it does in Story mode. WHY: Most players I know already quit out of boredom. These same players had stuck around for a very long time when the streak was unlimited, so the concept is already proven. Obviously the old method of extending the streak by doing a single challenge was easily abused. So, continue the single daily challenge for the first 21 days, but to avoid the reset after day 21 require a second factor... playing for an hour that day, for example. I found out that if I put carcasses/big pelts on my horse and THEN change my outfit, before I fast travel, then the carcasses and pelts are "saved" and don't disappear after the fast travel (so far out of many times, since trying this.) I'd not try it with a legendary pelt/carcass, but it seems to work. So that shows it is possible to do it automatically, instead of my having to do the outfit step. They should add a list of all stranger missions that you can run. They should fix known bugs when a certain number of players report the bug. It shoule be impossible for a player to remove another player from defensive. Running into a player with horse should be completedly removed as way to kick a player out of defensive. If a player attacks another player, they should not be able to enter defensive for an hour. There should be mutiple load out for ability cards which can be toggled quickly. PiB should be free aim. Doing simple actions such as looting, hogite, picking up bounties from the floor just becomes a huge pain after a while and sometimes you have to be standing on that one exact spot just for it to work. It's not even immersive and at times immersion breaking because it reminds you that you are playing a game when it slows the game down. Also remove the ridiculous dialogue anytime you do a trader or moonshine sale. Hearing the same droning dialogue when ever you start a sale mission just becomes very irritating and tedious. And dont even get me started on the amount of times you try to equip a gun and you end up choosing the wrong weapon or the lasso because the menu is so buggy. There should be a simple button option during each animation that you can press to stop getting that animation in the future. And skinning, but at least with that you can have the horse stand right next to the carcass and skin it fast; problem is if it kind of steps on it the quality might decrease =/ I also throw them at the horse/Hunting Wagon, so they are right next to it and also get the fast animation. Picking up the bounty is VERY irritating, after hogtie, because most of the time it doesn't pickup the FIRST time I do "X" to pick up (on Xbox One.) This is while people might be approaching to shoot me too, so that is irritating. I'm always yelling at the screen, "NO, PICK IT UP DANGIT!" The more I play RDO, starting in the beta for Online, the more it is VERY obvious that the developers don't play THEIR OWN game; all such very irritating things would be the first things to be fixed. The funny thing is they actually sped up looting a lot, from what it used to be a LOOOONGGG time ago. If a crew (as setup in Rockstar's Social Club) has at least 500 members (or some other number chosen by R*), automatically create a lobby for that crew and place them in it instead of other lobbies... except when they take a step to intentionally play with others like when you choose a PvP action. This should ensure that R* keeps its servers as full as it wants, but allows different styles of crews to operate "their" lobby according to their own rules, and be able to kick from the crew those that don't abide by the crew's rules. Among other things this would end up protecting large crews from hackers and griefers, give freedom to crews to choose how to operate... some crews allowing full assaults on teammates and other crews defining it as unacceptable. This would promote "crews", and eventually R* could even come up with crew vs crew PvP and PvE competitions/events that various crews can sign up into, creating a long-term exciting set of activities for those that already "did everything" in the game. kcole4001 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Allow us to choose how many of an item to sell (or how many to keep), or at least add a button to sell down to half the max storage of the item. Better yet, remember the "sell down to / keep only these many" number we choose last and make it the default for the next time. No rocket science, just common sense and easy to implement. I asked for/suggested that on the game's suggestion page, as soon as the Online beta came out. Even a "sell half" would help A LOT, especially for the awards like "Sell at Butcher" and "Sell herbs at Doctor." Currently I just do it until it starts doing that hanging "Processing" thing. Why would they make the game so it worked like that anyway? It seems so backwards. I was actually buying the pork/prime rib and venison from the catalog in desperation, just to sell the whole stack to the butcher out of desperation so I did not get caught in "processing." Fully support your idea. I've lost out on $ because I want to keep a small quantity of meats in my satchel at all times, for making stews for the daily. 3 to 5 of each. Selling them individually is a pain, so often times I just have a full satchel. Having said all that - no one is forcing me to keep all those meats. I might make a hundred dollars if I clear out my entire inventory that's been clogged up since day one, but it would take me ages to loot another hundred dollars worth of stuff. Being able to create and sell tonics to the Doctor. I drop serious cash on pamphlets and I can't sell what I make? Jammsbro Posted October 5, 2021 Share Posted October 5, 2021 Clean all guns option. Either in the menu or whenever I rest at a camp my character will simply cycle to clean all guns. Auto craft. Set all the items you want to craft at camp and press the button. Then your character crafts everything. A timer is set so that if you cancel those items aren't crafted. Rockstar seems to think that online and SP are the same thing and the few dozen times you craft in SP won't be boring after the 500th time doing the same old sh*t online.
