Hello everyone V0.5 has been released!

 

INSTALLATION

Extract all rar file content into unmodded vanilla Grand Theft Auto Vice City game directory.

Here is new link for V0.5 all updates and fixes are included in it,

V0.5 Features

 

skimmer with rainbow smoke  press side misson button default CAPS LOCK

* Jet-ski side mission "Jet-Ski Playground" added and bonus Monster truck added for "BF-Playground" side mission

* Tommy can call police, ambulance, taxi and firefighter (press and hold phone answer and sprint buttons for three seconds default TAB and Shift)

* there will be 4 new police archive sidemissions

* 3 new clothes (army uniform, tied suit, leather jacket) they are hidden in safehouses

* open and closed roof for stallion car

* open and closed mask for bank rob mission skin

* active and watcable tv for ocean view hotel

* tommy will wear helmet when riding bike

* two new bcycles(bmx and montain) and one skate (all will have special animations and will be spawned randomly near ocean view hotel)

* mission based active newspapers like gta 4. player can check them after each missions 
Player can buy them from newspaper boxes. there will be 20 different pages and pages will be changed with missions. all pages will represent actual state of the game.

* dyamic ferris wheel will be at nearby airport

* 15 new vehicles in traffic

Player can buy them from newspaper boxes. there will be 20 different pages and pages will be changed with missions. all pages will represent actual state of the game. here is two pages.

peds can also buy newspapers(can be seen on second screenshot) and visible pages are dynamically changing related to actual mission progress of the game.

I created simple hovercraft. it is working fine with cleo 1.1.1.7. This vehicle will be available in v0.6 with Hover-Playground side mission.

Hello everyone,

 

Here is one addition patch for V0.5. With that addition,

- Hovercraft vehicle will be available at Ocean Beach Lighthouse. It is not like existing hovercraft mod. It supports cleo 1.1.1.7 and you can enter and exit hovercraft when you are driving on sea.

- Some important crash and stability fixes have been done for swimming feature. If you are using gamepad, now you can use left stick to control Tommy during swimming.

Hi my friend please check spawnHover.txt and spawnHover.cs files in project. you can spawn mvl vehicles via CLEO.

Boy Howdy, i would say the thing i appreciate the most in this TC is the constant crash and stability fixes, you usually don't see that with some selled games, let alone one of the major TC mod for Classic VC and for free, only passion driven.


If suggestions for adding something is welcomed, i'ld propose a golf mini-game, like the one from VCS, or a more (at least imo) complex one like this* from GTA:SA

Thanks a lot for those kind words :) I have been a software engineer for more than 10 years. The first programming language I have learned was scm CLEO. After I realized what can I do with that, I choosed my future job thanks to gta vc 😛 I am still doing vc mods it is keeping my algorithm designing skills refreshed on my freetimes. Keep tuned I will continue to update this project with new story missions and side missions. I have golf and dart minigame features in my list but as you know life is hard and full of responsibilities :(

Ho yeah i was almost forgetting you done the bowling mini-game already! I want to be honest and say that i don't have fully explored the mod yet, because i'm essentially waiting for the full release. In fact for our fortune or mis-fortune (depending on the point of view) your TC seems to lack for a planning for conclusion, the moment you'll say like "hey guys the mod it's officially finished, now let's do some final cut" 


Really i'm patiently waiting for that because the most flaws i can see are all on the graphics counterpart (i mean visually) like in one hand there are things that look top tire matching 100% good and in the other are like things looking over-the-top or detailed less good or detailed differently from the OG game and then it just create a noise for the eyes. I don't know if you create yourself some of the 3D models and textures but i can say that the more they are samey to each other, the more linear and less noisy the graphics.


But since i presume you utilize other authors mods to create the visuals, it's just a matter of accepting an ammound of flaws and the things that surpass that limit could be remade, like picking the bent nails from the nail bucket and straighten them hammering.

Hi again,

I didnt plan this modification tbh. I was having fun to do modding and one day wanted to share it with people :) I never estimated the final cut. Probably I will continue to do smt with that till I died. Sometimes intense sometimes rarely but I will continue to do  😛  


For new vehicles I minified and edited existing mod dffs and txds to keep them below than 1.5 mb to not ot cause memory leak or memory based crashes. I used directly gta vcs models and some interiors from Hackman and BlackStallionDX. I made some editings to the models to make them more appropriate to the mod but yes I am not graphic designer  I just made some editings or directly import from vcs. so this difference sometimes little bit recognizable. To solve that problem I need to create a team but this is not my job, I will do my best under my skillset limitations.

my childhood dream 😛 technically really possible, but the most important point is make that interior alive and put something different like peds, side mission etc etc. this part is f*cking hard. in my project there are at least one savepoint or one ped like shoppers, barmen, etc in interiors but interiors are still not alive :(

Amazing !!

My favorite part is the new missions of police.

I agree for interiors, they need something unique to make them alive.  It would be cool to make them a location for business, business, missions like drug trafficking, gun running...

Maybe add some characters from GTA 3 and San Andreas to give us missions? (like Phil Cassidy who was in both VC and III)
