Positive feedback - NPC camp raid

My camp got attacked by a band of NPC raiders.  I totally was not expecting it and it would certainly would be quite a nuisance if it happened often.  But for something that happens maybe once a (calendar) week... it was an interesting and fun break in the routine.

Yeah! Sometimes I just want to just chill at camp but it happens so seldom it's kind of a treat. Bring it! CIRCLE WAGONS!

It's fine but I hate it when it interupts something I'm doing. For example, one time I finally got a 3 star panther to spawn. The dog had showed up a little before but I rode a little farther to check on the panther and the dog left.

 

It took me a while to spot it and catch up to it then get in a good shooting spot and just as I was getting ready to shoot it I automatically got transported to camp. 

 

We can't just ignore it cuz that transport will happen after a bit of time. Personally, l don't care if some goods get stolen. Cripps could make some more. If one thing about it should be changed, I think we should have the option to go to camp or not.

 

So, now I just don't keep any goods at camp since I never make deliveries anymore anyway.

 

I have had those raids spawn just as I logged in at camp. I got into the game and there were shots all over the place. I was like...wtf is that? I found out.

It transports?  That sucks.  It should just let you lose and take a penalty.

Yeah. One day I decided to ignore the dog and go on my way and I was involved in something and suddenly the screen went blank and then to the fast travel screen. I thought I was getting disconnected. Next thing you know I was at camp.

I have had the trader since day one and have still never experienced my camp being attacked.

It seems to require a solo session, which I never have happen anymore on the Xbox One, as well as perhaps needing you to be in reasonable proximity to the camp.

 

I used to have raids (well, maybe 3 or 4 TOTAL, so not a huge amount)  and the Old Man Meat Beggar a bunch (him ALL THE TIME), when I was in a solo session a lot on the Xbox One due to Rockstar bugs.

It might be that solo session thing, if you've not found yourself around the camp much with no other players being listed.

 

I only have a solo session now if I'm doing a solo bounty/Blood Money mission, but if I fast travel all the way back to camp the list seems to populate rapidly with players (lobby merge thing.)

 

It could also be that the "Camp Raid" event shares with the "Old Man Meat Beggar", with it seeming to be slanted more towards the Old Man (as far as how often it happens.)
