This thread exists to list and archive all known legitimate leaks for Rockstar Games' upcoming title, Grand Theft Auto VI.

Note that there are numerous leaks that are unconfirmed, and are still up for debate. So they shall be categorized separately.

There is also an unknown category for those that may be real, but cannot be verified. Not counting baseless claims such as reddit or 4chan posts.

Or pieces of information that are real, but may or may not be related to GTA VI.

Any leaks posted by Twitter accounts or YouTubers without sources, are nothing but liars and thieves looking for clout, followers, likes and subscribers.

Please ignore them and avoid their lies. Prime examples are MrBossFTW & @NEWSLEAKSGTAS. They do nothing but steal people finds, without citing sources.

LEGITIMATE

 

Tim Neff - July 27th 2017 

Stuntman, Tim Neff's online resume leaks that he worked on RDR2 and GTA VI. He denied involvement in RDR2, but claimed he worked on GTA V, and that it was a mistake. He also had personal instagram photos from Rockstar San Diego, with captions strongly suggesting he was there for work. He denied it, saying it was just a photo taken outside that anyone could take. He quickly removed them. He was not credited in GTA V, but by RDR2's release he is indeed credited in RDR2. Tim Neff's resume/CV used to be found on his website and on his iStunt page, however his website appears to now be offline and he is no longer on the iStunt website. Interestingly enough, his personal website listed 6 projects, under mocap. 3 of which are untitled. But on his iStunt page, they were all titled. The three hidden titles were; Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto & Call of Duty. He is listed in the credits for Call of Duty Black Ops 4, which confirms this information is legit and can be trusted. Which only goes on to confirm he is indeed in GTA VI.

A former Rockstar India employee mentions creating vehicles for GTA V and upcoming GTA 6 in his artstation resume Credit to @ApolloThunder 

Bibin Michael is a real employee of Rockstar Games and is named in the Thank You credits for RDR2

Jason Schreier reports that Rockstars next game is a new Grand Theft Auto.

Out of respect and privacy, no links will be posted or shared. Fans be crazy, and we don't want to get anyone in any trouble. But there have been other references to this game on CV's and such. So much to say that yes, the game does exist and it is 100% called "Grand Theft Auto VI".

 

Rockstar Games Hacked - September 18th 2022

In the early hours of Sunday morning, user @teapotuberhacker posted a thread claiming to be leaking 90+ footage/clips from GTA 6. It was bedated for a short while, before it quickly became clear that the leak was in fact genuine. Images and videos are prohibited from being posted. But here is the original thread, for archival purposes.

Keinemusik - November 22nd 2019

Rampa of Keinemusik spends 5 days touring the east coast of the USA with his friend &ME as well as Sam Houser and Rockstar Games programmers. This article on beatportal.com was published on November 27th. The date would indicate he likely took the tour over the weekend beginning the 22nd November.

And after spending five days partying with other headliners and the dudes from Rockstar Games, he’s feeling slightly under the weather. - December 2020 DJ Adam Port, who is part of 'Keinemusik' was DJing at a party for a group of Rockstar developers, including Sam Houser. They went into brief detail about what they did in Miami. He also noted that their work with Rockstar took place about 9 months prior - March 2020. This was likely for Cayo Perico.

We cannot confirm what the Rockstar developers purpose in Miami was, as of yet. But we know that they were there. And that they were there to 'experience what they were programming'. It could have been for GTA Online, or GTA VI and that's why they were in Miami. So for now, this has to be in the 'Unknown' category.

Parachuting Files Found in RDR2.exe - January 15th 2021 

User @rollschuh2282 discovered there is a mention of a parachuting file that does not exist in GTA V or the gta5.exe, meaning it isn't a leftover and is most likely a parachuting file from GTA VI. The actual files are not found in RDR2, but simply referenced, or mentioned.

funnily that "pack" animation file does not exist in V.
and is not even listed in the GTA5.exe

these are all of Vs parachute animations.
as you can see the naming fits, but the "pack" one doesn´t exist

Although it could be related to Grand Theft Auto V Expanded & Enhanced, rollschuh2282 does not believe it is, due to it being there on PC and since 2019.

i really doubt it has something to do with E&E.

my guess is relative simple.

parachuting is something that is implemented into the core base engine itself.

which is why there is a setting in the gameconfig to enable parachuting, but is set to false.

similiar to the crouching in V.

a lot of stuff is part of the base RAGE engine.

and RAGE was originally made for GTA.

so a lot of base code is to make a GTA game.

which is also why the RDR2 vehicle.meta still has that entry for the vehicle manufacturers from V and such or a lot of other stuff.

even some internal stuff has GTA in the name etc.

so that is the reason why that skydiving line slipped into RDR2.

it´s RAGE base code and they probs improved it for GTA 6 at that time, which means in got put into the base RAGE code, which RDR2 also uses.

 

maybe sounds a bit complicated, but it really isn´t.

 

This cannot be proven to be from GTA VI, so for now it has to remain 'Unknown'. As it may well turn out to be updated animations for Grand Theft Auto V Expanded & Enhanced.

Iain Campbell - February 13th 2021

GTA VI was briefly mentioned on a Rockstar Games Music Producers Clubhouse bio. Since Clubhouse was a private app on iOS at the time, this cannot be verified 100%. I have since verified the account does exist but there is no mention of 'VI' currently.

Jorge Consejo - December 25th 2017

@Jabalous made a very interesting discovery, actor and Miami resident Jorge Consejo listed Grand Theft Auto VI (CGI) 2018 on his CV. Along with a photo on his Instagram account from 2014 of him dressed up in performance capture gear.

He also quoted me on Twitter a year and a half later, saying he could neither confirm nor deny that he was in GTA VI. Which I found highly suspicious. He later deleted the Tweet.

The Know - 'Project Americas' - March 6th 2018 

YouTube channel 'The Know' ran by Rooster Teeth posted a video news update about a piece of information they had received from an 'inside source' that wished to remain anonymous. They claim this person provided enough evidence to them to suggest the claims were genuine.

The claims were that GTA VI would be set in Miami and allow for travel between the USA and South America when doing missions. Their source claimed Rockstar were still in the early stages of development, but it could be released in the next 3 to 4 years, putting it at an approximate release of 2021 - 2022. Their source also was not clear on weather or not it would be set in present day or the 80's like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)

Florida Scouting/Leah Sokolowski - October 6th - 13th 2019

Reports surfaced on Reddit about scouting taking place near a local business.

Found this podcast earlier this afternoon. It's dated May 21st 2019 (according to the YouTube video) But before posting it, I wanted to listen to it all. There's nothing much to note besides this at the 7 minute mark:

Sadly, this is still unconfirmed as we still do not know the identity of the 'Digital Media Company' referenced by Leah Sokolowski, as it is protected by an NDA.

Project Americas Referenced in RDR2 code? - December 3rd 2019

GTA 6 Weapons references possibly found in an RDR2 file - December 28th 2020

@DerekLeet made a very interesting discovery. Modern weapons were found in the files for RDR2, which had apparently been there since launch on console in October 2018. It is unknown what these weapons are for. They may have been leftover code from L.A. Noire or the abandoned Agent. Or it may well be for GTA VI. Only time will tell.

I found these in an RDR2 file called propsets.meta, under "common_0.rpf/data/ai" so if you don't believe me you can check for yourself.

This file appears to be referencing weapon models that aren't anywhere in the files, including ones for an L1A1 rifle and a Pistol referred to as a Browning, probably the Browning Hi-Power.

Strangely there appears to be two variants for the Browning pistol, one silenced and one regular version. I don't what that's about but it definitely ain't from GTA V.

Here are what I think the weapons they are referencing, aside from the AK47: 

These aren't from GTA V because GTA V's version of these sections have entirely different weapons, and the AK47 in that game is referred to as "W_AR_ASSAULTRIFLE" rather than "W_AR_AK47"

For example, the below section is from GTA V, however it doesn't have any of the weapons references from above.

These aren't new btw, they appear to have been in the game since the release of RDR2 on console, so I was kinda surprised nobody else found these.

 

Sorry if this post seems a bit bootleg, but I wasn't expecting to be the one who found this. It's possible these are from a different game, but I can't be sure, so take from this what you will.

 

Guy A. Fortt - February 10th 2022

Found by @Kirsty, actor Guy A. Fortt lists "Grand Theft Auto 6" on his online resume.

It lists his appearance in "Grand Theft Auto 6" as a 'guest star' suggesting he plays a smaller role in the game. Interestingly enough, the names on the right side of his resume are the names of Directors. Cali Moore plays "Abigail Roberts" in the Red Dead Redemption series, but is now a casting director. It is quite likely that her name is on his resume as Guy may have been cast by Cali.

 

Then there is his recent Tweet from February 5th 2022.

Natonia Monet - July 15th 2022

Found by @Jabalous actor Natonia Monet's online Resume on Actors Access references a project she worked on for Rockstar Games, named as "Fireball".

Location Resources, inc. - July 20th 2022

Found by @Jabalous. Location Resources, a Miami based location scouting service that specializes in Photo Locations & Filming Locations in Florida and the Caribbean listing Rockstar Games as one of their clients.

This may be for Grand Theft Auto VI, or it may have been for Cayo Perico, a Caribbean Island featured in Grand Theft Auto Online. Or perhaps both, if Cayo Perico returns in GTA VI.

I could not find the company credited for any previous R* work, but I'm not sure if R* includes the location management companies or their personnel in the credits. For GTA V, I only found a lady by the name of Jill Naumann (native to LA) credited in IMDB as a "location manager".

[UPDATE] CONFIRMED TO PLAY LUPE IN GTA ONLINE

 

Once again, @Jabalous found a very interesting resume from actor Alexandra Cristina Echavarri.

She lists a role in her resume as; Rockstar Games(Video Game) | Principal Character | Take 2 Productions 

This is very, very interesting as a 'Principal Character' would suggest she is playing a lead role, a protagonist. In a very recent Instagram post (which won't be posted for privacy reasons) she also mentions doing voiceover work for Rockstar Games.

Could this be our, or one of our Grand Theft Auto VI Protagonists?

One note of caution, as presented by @Spider-Vice, her voice sounds remarkably similar to that of a new character Lupe featured in this trailer for the most recent GTA Online Update, releasing on July 26th 2022. Her role may not be for GTA VI, but a new character in GTA Online.

The recent Bloomberg report by Jason Schreier alleges that GTA VI will have two protagonists and will be set in Miami (Vice City) and surrounding areas. This is my own personal speculation, but I believe it may be possible that if Rockstar do indeed plan to follow up GTA VI with map expansions, such as new cities and missions - Rockstar’s plan is now to continually update the game over time, adding new missions and cities on a regular basis, which the leadership hopes will lead to less crunch during the game’s final months. [source] - we could potentially see a return of GTA IV's Episode style expansions. Each bringing a new city and protagonist with a set of missions. While this leak is not regarding content we expect to see in Grand Theft Auto VI at launch, we feel it is worth archiving in this thread, due to it possibly becoming much more relevant post launch.

Aaron Garbuts' Son's friend Tik-Tok Leaked Gameplay Video - December 2nd 2023

Yes, you read that title correctly...

Mere days before the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, a leaked video of GT AVI surfaced online, via Tik-Tok. It was later claimed to be from Aaron Garbuts own home, via "a friend of his son." Weather or not that it actually true may never be proven, and is ultimately irrelevant. The leaked video was proven to be true as at matched up geographically with the rest of Vice City as seen in the previous major leak from September 2022. The actual Tik-Tok cannot be posted for legal reasons, and his since been taken down anyway. But some of the original dissuasions can be found here:

It's genuinely scary. I remember it happening and then I got really excited, knowing RDR2 was due for the spring and maybe GTA VI a few years later...

I almost forgot about the Americas code being found in RDR2 files. For some reason that excites me in a way, gives me a little hope that something like The Know leak is not impossible.

 

But I have one question, I'm not sure why you put it in the unconfirmed category, I think It's more than likely related to VI. Especially considering they removed the "Americas" part after people found out about it.

I'm just being 100% honest and analytical. It would be a presumption to say it is confirmed. Even though I agree it likely is VI. We just have to be completely honest and say that we can't outright prove it. The CV leaks are only provably legitimate as we saw them and had tangible evidence they were real, and they have been featured in their games credits.

It mentioned Vice, Mexico City, Detroit, Chicago, Brazil and possibly Canada as locations on a project. I just recall seeing it being posted on here; according to that, GTA 6 may have been in concept as early as 2012(!)

Yes. I don't have the full document, but I have the basic notes that have been posted. But they're very old and basically just potential ideas. The goal of this thread is to basically 'archive' and list the major leaks. That memo is too unspecific.

No. All their source told them was that it was codenamed 'Project Americas' and would be based in Miami. You'll be able to fly between the USA and South America when doing missions. And was expected sometime around 2020/21. The 80's and drug smuggling was speculation based on that info because 'it makes sense', which it does. But making sense doesn't mean it's correct.

According to their source, it could be released in the next 3 to 4 years. Which would be around 2021 - 2022. And the protagonist hadn't been fully, firmly decided. But there were rumours of a female lead, with no real idea if they'd be one of multiple, or not.
