I have never been annoyed by the dialogue as much as I was today when I loaded up.

Also, the girl's cousin lines had this weird fade in, fade out glitch; it made it worse.

Lowkey I think this update is pretty fun I like all the new cars and stuff and missions etc...

 

However my biggest gripe is the drifting, the cars have no angle so they spin out so fast, (at least the RWD ones I need to test AWD) and the fact is if you install the drift tires they cost nothing 500$, but if you want to drive the car again normally you have to pay 25k again for your bulletproof tires.

It's gonna be damn near Christmas by the time I get enough rep to unlock the Castrol style livery for my two million dollar Celica. Tieing a trade price to rep I can live with, but locking it outright behind a slow filling rep? Nah that ain't good. Hopefully a merge glitch comes along that allows me to obtain it that way.

Oh god Ill add in here that the street races suck. So I was like yeah, finally actually street races and while they are it's typical gta racing where you gotta drive through parking lots and stuff and the slightest bump unsettles the car, on top of that you have to drive head on at eachother during certain parts. Barely and rank up for the meet anyways.

The whole Rep thing can suck my entire ass. There is no way I'm going to grind up hundreds and hundreds of ranks to unlock 4 thousand t-shirt variants. Just no f*cking way on Earth. Took me about 20 mins to be completely over the LSCM. I'm rep rank 8, and I think that's about as far as I'm getting. 

 

The missions are what I was really interested in. While I'm definitely "yay, new missions", for every cool thing about them there is something sh*tty to offset it. The muhfuhkan Moody's muhfuhkan dialogue is muhfuhkan tiresome and pretty muhfuhkan cringe, muhfuhka. Have I said 'muhfuhka' enough? Muhfuhkan nope, can muhfuhkan squeeze in a muhfuhkan few muhfukan more, muhfuhka. Also, muhfuhkan love bein muhfuhkan overtly muhfuhkan megacringe hypersexual with my muhfuhkan woman, who mufuhkan enjoys having my muhfuhkan penis in her muhfuhkan vagina. Motherf*cker, please, grow up.

 

As for the missions themselves, ok, I'm enjoying them for the most part, but that's mostly novelty & first-timer challenge. Not particularly loving the instaspawning & insta-respawning AI with the usual deadshot aim. I mean, sure, it's been a while since I got my ass kicked by AI, so it's nice to be kept on my toes, but it's a bit over the top on a few of them - worse than Doomsday in some cases. Just cyborg bad guys absolutely dogpiling you, replaced almost as fast as you can kill them. 

 

Special mention has to go to the Bank job, where I absolutely broke my balls getting all the jammers in place just to find out that you get a wanted level 2 mins after hitting the first bank regardless. At least next time round I need only bother putting one down, since the rest are useless.

 

While I'm on it, the weapon loadouts are pretty annoying, especially with the limited ammo. Then there's the fact that so far the Hustler (with the Bullpup AR) is the only one that isn't suicide. I did the one where you break into IAA HQ figuring I'd be in for some close-quarters interior fighting, so I chose a shotgun. MISTAAAAKE! Two restarts, that cost me. On the E.C.U. mission I ran out of ammo for my Tek 9 while shooting out the brake pistons, so had to finish off the 4th one with a pistol. 

 

Add the fact that, while the new missions are soloable, they are not solo-friendly; you're pretty much working your ass off to get them done. Of course, there's no way in hell I'm bringing randoms - if I can barely get thru the missions then I expect that randoms will be a thing of nightmares. I'd rather take a bit longer & take a bit of a beating than fail outright or even worse, gift some spectating idiot 50K for dying in the first exchange.

 

Anyway, look, kudos to R* for coming up with something new & different. The theme is solid (even tho tuners & car culture isn't my thing), the car meet is fun to look at for a while and the missions are challenging & the pay is not too sh*tty (I reckon by the time you've done each one of them you'll pay off a basic auto shop). But It's very grindy and I can't really see it holding my interest for very long.

 

I'll keep at it with the missions for now - perhaps as I get more familiar with them I'll get better at doing them & then I might enjoy them more. 

 

But my initial impression of the DLC is, well, I find it a bit underwhelming, at least as far as the stuff I'm interested in goes. I guess I'll have to play more of it, give it a chance before I write it off, but right this second I'm thinking me & Rockstar should srart seeing other people.

Was very bummed out when the contracts turn out to be another mini Casino Heists type of missions

 

I was thinking more like a quick contact missions like Repo? Given by KDJ, where we are getting involved in a missions with a spectacular car chases and a nod to a specific iconic cars and movies

 

You know like the GTT

 

With this song, so it can give us that 70s Halicki feels

Some nod to the San Andreas would be nice, instead of stealing the ECU while getting shot by the merryweather FFS

 

 

In my mind this contracts missions is where we are doing a missions with the new cars, launched from the autoshop, afterwards we can get the trade prices, but no, another fakin heists, with long setups, SO, NO, thank you...

 

Sometimes all it needs to attracts players is just a simple nod/homage to the old stuff like this, bring some new flavour to the game, instead of just sticking with Heists all over again in every DLCs

 

The Crew 2 knew this very well, with their thematic updates

 

 

It feels like the old times, that gaming moments you feel back then, with an enhanced exprience from the PS4 PS5 XBOX PC engine, ain't that something?

 

By the way, that street race and pursuit race are way off the charts, it's great! But remember, Always put the race in non contact for a good times 👍

 

That's all i think, great update with a repetitive heists could've given it a 10 but instead i only give it a 7 because of the heists, it's really repetitive and boring

What are on earth is the point of doing anything in this game sometimes

The only justification I can see in this is that with a 4 man crew you could just barely hit all the banks within 2 minutes with good timing and placement. Chumash and  Sandy Shores Fleeca is taken care of one person each and the other two grabs a pair each in the city where they're close.

 

Still, just 2 minutes still feels too little. There's really no point rushing those signals to Chumash or Sandy Shores if you do it solo.

GIVE ME DIRECTIONS! YOU MEAN TO TELL ME IT GLITCHED OUT AGAIN? WORK! GOD DAMN ACTION 52 IS MORE FUNCTIONAL THAN THIS RANDOM  EVENT DICKCHONGLERY!

This update is a very good one, but of course there had to be flaws:

  • The Dominator GTT hood does in fact need better options and the Mach 1 style vinyl needs a version that comes without the stripe. And why tf isn't there a plastic Mach 1 style spoiler? It's either paint or carbon, how stupid.
  • The Previon is nice but the Annis intercooler is the dumbest oversight I've seen.
  • Why does every tuner's interior share the same curved 90's plastic dashboard? I like the interior customization but come on...
  • The Tailgater S is RWD... the Vectre is AWD... ass backwards much? And while most of the cars handle brilliantly (Comet, Growler, the older cars, etc) the best word I could use to describe the way the Cypher and Vectre drive is sh*t. Horse sh*t. If I was still actively playing GTA Online, I would not touch either with a ten foot pole. I'm not gonna ramble on about what I did to "fix" their handling in SP, but it's just stupid. The BMW M2 is a tail happy car, probably one of the best handling modern BMWs in decades. Meanwhile the Cypher is an understeering pig and you just cannot kick the ass out at all. Meanwhile... why was the Vectre made to be AWD? As if it's lackluster performance wasn't bad enough, making it AWD made it understeer and once again... the RCF is a car that can kick its ass out. Neglecting that characteristic of a car in that segment makes it utterly drab and pointless unless it's an Audi. But speaking of Audi, the Obey Tailgater S should've been AWD, point blank period. I love all of these cars, but holy sh*t it's hilarious how bad Rockstar butchers modern car handling these days.
  • This is a reeeeally small complaint but why doesn't the Comet S2 have a carbon fiber mirrors option? It has literally anything you can think of but that... meanwhile the Growler does have mirror options.
  • The rear quarter windows on the Tailgater S? You can't see out of them from the inside. How is that possible?
  • The prices are stupid. Just utterly stupid.
  • I stand by my opinion that dripfeed is f*cking annoying and pointless. Any time I had to wait to drive the best car in the pack I usually logged off until it came out. Imagine waiting until August or September for one of these cars. They're actually all good this time but that sh*t is getting old, people have got sh*t to do.

 

Most of this sh*t? I don't care, this is the most I've enjoyed an update basically ever. It's great, the cars are great (they are, if you disagree you're wrong) and while they may look a tad close to their irl counterparts, they still have a personality of their own. I'm quite sure I'll be driving all of these cars regularly whenever I play and the new station sounds pretty good.

My only concern is the rep system in this update. I’ve played for around 4 hours yesterday and only got up to level 11. Not sure if every level takes the same time to unlock, but it seems like a horrible grind rn.

Well, I guess I've been suitably punished for getting hyped about this update.

 

• The missions are fun (bank job was pretty cool) but they are quite unbalanced and irritating for the most part. How am I supposed to take on waves of double-gunned Barrages, double-gunned Valkyries and car with armoured shooters AND destroy a Hauler Custom using limited ammo without at least one of the cars getting blown up?

• The test track is the other fun thing from this update, but the leaderboards don't work, so I guess I'm just competing against myself...

• Customer requests seem a bit fun, though they are just an updated version of special vehicle cargo pretty much. They ruined this one by including the Ocelot Swinger request which never completes regardless of how many times you attempt to deliver it.

The new cars are a bit meh; Z34 is chunky AF and doesn't have good customisation options (no Nismo-like rear wing, no standard CF bonnet, no good custom bumpers), RT3000 doesn't have good customisation options (not a single CF bonnet...), Calico GT is pants off-road, which for a supposed rally car makes it a largely self-defeated existence, Tailgater S isn't AWD or i5-powered; looks aside, it's pretty dull. Dominator GTT; install supercharger engine tune, further down, install turbo tuning... I could go on for ages...

• Drifting physics are still pants and rely on collapsed suspension; great -.-'

• My favourite character from the update (Mimi) has very little involvement in this update, despite being the manager of the LS car meet.

• Reputation system is beyond f**ked; I know some gamers like a grind but cripes, this system looks like you'll need nine lifetimes to get all of the clothing.

 

Ultimately, after almost a day with this new update, my summary is that I really need Gran Turismo 7 in my life.

When the liveries are correct facing on one side of the car, but the other side there backwards... Applies to some other cars as well...

 

Copy pasting the silly loadouts from island heist. Like these were thrown together last minute. Sticky bombs would have a perfect use in all of the new missions.

 

New missions not giving any f*cking rep. 

 

Rep itself being very similiar to arena wars unlocks except not being able to buy them. More people are gonna use merge glitches than actually gaining rep to unlock liveries and such... 

 

Moodyman saying muthaf*cka more times than Lamar and Ryder combined say Ninja. I think that fool moodyman used to work at burger shot.

This is less of a B&M but a pre-emptive one.

 

Is the pay on the new robberies spit between players? Because that's a proper B&M if that's the case. No incentive to do the missions with people if you're getting paid less. Reminds me of those two Client Jobs where you need to have at least one person with you and the pay is LESS.

No, the leader gets the amount shown on the board (minus 10% or so for Moodymuthaf*cker), anyone you bring along with/or if you join others, you get 50k.

Well, the good news is, unlike arena wars, you dont have to JUST race to gain "rep". It increases simply being present at the car meet, driving on the test track, modding cars at the meet and buying the clothes that your rank unlocks.

 

There are still 1000 levels mind you.

Limit my guns? Bit weird but ok, I can work with it.

 

Limit my ammo for my limited guns? f*ck you. 5 f*cking pipe bombs? 300 machine pistol rounds where at least 2 of the finales require you to shoot inanimate objects until they break? f*ck you.

 

Oh and I'm pretty sure nobody meant 15 parking spaces in an underground garage full of donks when they asked for car meets.

Unfortunately, I'm disappointed.

 

After we get Sultan Classic, Penumbra FF and even Jester Classic i expect new cars would be feel like them honestly. But all cars slipping like hell(Except Celica). So all these cars useless/irrelevant outside new races and contact missons.

 

Also all these new liveries worse than older DLCs. They doesn't fit cars/theme well. All of them looks like race car liveries. Where is the unique design liveries? Where is the street race car culture liveries with stickers and such? Only Remus have a retro livery with stickers. And locked liveries behind RP doesn't even better than others.(ZR350 have some colorful/unique things)

 

And i want to put some word for RT3000: Bad liveries, doesn't have carbon hoods, doesn't have skirt so if you install front bumper and rear bumper it looks ridiculous. Also

this RT3000 is now fastest car in game. It can defeat 811, Pariah and RSX in highways/long road. I have tested with friend.

 

Man, i dont wanna drift without installing drift tires. Such a wasted potential because cars looks good(except Euros).

If you stance your hoopty for the meet and then like an hour later decide to use it in a race, lol, f*ck you. No interaction menu in street races. Hope you enjoy snap oversteer!

 

One more - why isn't the f*cking time trial per class? I did a few laps in my BR8 to try for a world record like 10m after it came out, and now I have a PB that I can only beat by fractions with some effort in one specific car. Gnnngh.
